Brian Lowry Variety Unapologetically romantic, this British comedy about a whirlwind relationship between two gentle, vulnerable souls shines brightest when the two of them are together, and considerably less so when their eccentric circle of friends and family take over. Sep 13, 2018 Full Review Michael Slezak Entertainment Weekly Well the sweet, wonderfully charming Britcom Gavin & Stacey takes those [old Hollywood] rules and sends them through the shredder. Sep 13, 2018 Full Review Mhairi McFarlane Guardian Gavin and Stacey is short on image, positively dodgy on soundtrack ... and really good where it counts. Sep 13, 2018 Full Review Nick Reilly NME (New Musical Express) It's hardly a reinvention of the wheel, but Jones and Corden have ensured that each storyline fits the characters like a (Christmas) stocking. Jul 13, 2021 Full Review Meghan O'Keefe Decider Trust me, it's cute. Oct 22, 2018 Full Review Sandrine Sahakians TV Equals Gavin & Stacey is able to tell a love story without all the cutesie stuff around it. It just feels so real and I think that's what really touched me. Sep 13, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Danny R A so called comedy about a vulgar and vile Essex family that are only made slightly bearable by the welsh half of the equation, Matthew Horne and James Corden struggle to find the meaning of comedy and charisma, I've seen more charisma in a toe nail. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/25 Full Review Audience M From the very first episode, it’s clear Gavin & Stacey is something special. Created by the talented James Corden and Ruth Jones, this series masterfully captures the quirks of British humour while delivering a heartwarming tale that resonates universally. Every character feels real and relatable, with their own distinct personality that adds depth to the show. Their catchphrases ingrained into the national culture, who hasn’t found themselves quoting, “What’s occurring?” during conversation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/27/24 Full Review Benyamin M Oh... What's occurring? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/06/25 Full Review Read all reviews
