CBS books a new version of the classic "Hawaii Five-0" series, with Alex O'Loughlin in the lead role as Detective Steve McGarrett and Scott Caan portraying Danno. The detectives are part of an elite task force whose mission is to eliminate crime on the beaches of the Aloha State. Assisting McGarrett and Danno are Capt. Lou Grover, who formerly headed Hawaii's SWAT unit; Jerry Ortega, the islands' local conspiracy theorist; and Tani Rey, a bold, recent police academy graduate. The brash unit spar and jest among themselves but remain determined to eliminate the seedy elements from the nation's 50th state.

Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly This is not the usual CBS procedural way of doing things. steve d The expanded role for Michelle Borth is appreciated but they don't seem to know what to do with her. The cast remains great but the stories underwhelming. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review david t <@ if (review) { @><@= review @><@ } @> Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Massive suspension of disbelief required. Civil liberties are out the window. It's definitely entertaining with some great character development, but the investigative practices of Five-O would be hard pressed to get a conviction in a courtroom. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This reboot of the classic show continues to improve with each season as the writers of the show get smarter, the visuals continue to improve, the action gets better, and the performance between its team continue to get funnier, as well as show signs of being like a family. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Let the soap opera continue frothing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
