Namon Eugene Shadow and Act As expected, the How to Get Away with Murder winter finale snatched my wig - multiple times. The writing, the cinematography, the acting, the pacing, the music ... so many details that created a masterpiece. Dec 12, 2017 Full Review Maureen Lee Lenker Entertainment Weekly After months away, we're back with the Keating Four and ramping up for a new mystery. The first episode of season 4 jumps into some of the questions left open last season, but they're not necessarily the ones you're expecting. Rated: B Sep 29, 2017 Full Review Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya AV Club It's a strange but ultimately satisfying premiere, standing out from the show's past premieres by going the slow character drama route rather than murder party. Rated: A- Sep 29, 2017 Full Review Michael Cuby them. ...it’s never been more entertaining than it is right now, after we’ve had a chance to really get to know these characters... Nov 2, 2022 Full Review Rebecca Iannucci TV Line Considering what she's gone through in the last three years - or even the last six months, really - Annalise Keating could really use a win. Oct 20, 2017 Full Review Laura Hurley CinemaBlend The status quo will be quite different in Season 4, which should be fun to explore. That said, the premiere also introduced the big mystery of at least the first half of the season, and it definitely wasn't funny. Sep 29, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Angel C “A Season of Redemption and Riveting Drama!” Season 4 of How to Get Away with Murder delivers an emotional, character-driven narrative that showcases the show’s ability to reinvent itself while maintaining its signature intensity. This season brings a fresh sense of purpose, focusing on redemption, healing, and the personal struggles of its characters, all while keeping viewers hooked with its trademark twists and shocking revelations. At its core, this season explores Annalise Keating’s journey toward self-recovery. Viola Davis is as captivating as ever, giving one of her most layered and vulnerable performances to date. Watching Annalise fight to rebuild her career, repair fractured relationships, and confront her own demons is both heartbreaking and empowering. The Keating 4 (Michaela, Laurel, Connor, and Asher) are also given more depth this season, as they struggle to find their own paths outside of Annalise’s shadow. Karla Souza’s portrayal of Laurel is particularly outstanding, as her character takes center stage in a gripping storyline involving her father, a dangerous conspiracy, and the mysterious death of Wes. Laurel’s fight for justice becomes one of the season’s most compelling arcs. Season 4 trades some of the show’s breakneck pacing for a more introspective tone, but it doesn’t skimp on the suspense. The introduction of the class-action lawsuit adds a powerful and socially relevant thread to the season, while the ongoing mystery surrounding Laurel’s baby and her family’s secrets keeps the tension high. The season finale delivers a satisfying blend of closure and jaw-dropping revelations, setting up an exciting new chapter for the series. What makes this season stand out is its heart. Beneath all the courtroom battles and plot twists lies a story about redemption, forgiveness, and resilience. It’s a testament to the show’s incredible writing and acting that even four seasons in, it continues to surprise and emotionally resonate. Rating: 9.5/10 – A powerful, character-driven season that proves this series is still at the top of its game. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/25 Full Review Danielle L Absolute masterpiece my friends! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Stephen D Characters make bad unrealistic decisions and have outbursts that make this show painful to watch Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/02/23 Full Review Lina A lot of drama, sometimes a bit too much. The dialogue is often predictable and the court scenes are unrealistic to the point where you can't ignore it anymore. But still keeps you hooked… Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Regal R 0/100 - Lol? 100% rating, for sure isnt manipulated.
