Critics Consensus

While it is fun to watch the core quartet mingle, Living Single's ribald humor won't be to everyone's taste.

Frazier Moore Associated Press If Living Single is in fact where the season starts, it's a long climb up from there. Feb 10, 2022 Full Review Tom Shales Washington Post It's not to be taken seriously, but it can't very well be taken comedically either, since most of it fails to be funny. Feb 10, 2022 Full Review Jonathan Storm Philadelphia Inquirer Hey, guys, It's a sitcom. It's on Fox. And in that relatively simplistic world, it's not so bad. Feb 10, 2022 Full Review Alan Pergament Buffalo News Living Single is a high-energy show with a very attractive cast that tries to get its share of mileage out of predictable male-bashing jokes. In short, it makes "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper" look like Seinfeld. Rated: 2/5 Feb 10, 2022 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Despite all of Living Single's positive messages and strong humor, its characters' active love lives and penchant for innuendo makes it best for teens and up. Rated: 4/5 Feb 10, 2022 Full Review Jennifer L. Stevenson Tampa Bay Times There is nothing profound here, nothing to shatter TV molds. Still, the jokes have zip and the moral -- women must take care of themselves -- is always welcome. Rated: B Feb 10, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Ain't nothing better than a show that strikes the nerves of young people in 2022! As an urban multi ethnic male from NYC, this show is suitable for me growing up with it and fully understanding the racial, sexual and innuendo oriented jokes from my time. Glad it's back on Hulu.
