What to Know

Critics Consensus

Strange, surreal, and surprising, Living With Yourself takes a minute to come together, but once it does it proves to be a clever rumination on identity driven by Paul Rudd's impressive dueling performances.

Scott Bryan BBC.com When it started, I thought it was headed in a certain direction and it goes somewhere else entirely; it's a must watch. Jul 15, 2020 Full Review Judy Berman TIME Magazine It just seems like a waste of a premise that could have gone so much deeper and evolved into something so much stranger. Dec 5, 2019 Full Review Ben Travers IndieWire As it stands, there's a lot to like no matter what you know going in. Rated: B Dec 5, 2019 Full Review Bill Brioux Brioux.tv Twice the Rudd can still be a dud. Oct 28, 2022 Full Review Christopher Hooton NME (New Musical Express) It throws Paul Rudds at the wall, but nothing quite sticks and ultimately, it still feels lacking. Jul 14, 2021 Full Review Dan Buffa KSDK News (St. Louis) The show is depressing in the early going and all the jokes don't hit, but it's a wisely-conceived idea with an ever-game Rudd. He expands his everyman abilities without letting the huge role overwhelm him. Nov 10, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Bessie B not amazing, but this was an entertaining watch. the ambiguous ending kinda annoyed me, and i think it could have just been a 90-minute movie, but it was funny and cozy and had an interesting premise. also, not a judgment but an observation - has anyone else noticed that Paul Rudd has really short teeth? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/02/25 Full Review Ben N Great one-season mini-series. Love Paul Rudd and he's perfect in this role. So fun cameos too. The series breaks out of the mold early on and I enjoy not knowing where it's going to go. I ended up really 'with' the characters at the end and loved the silly and serious moments along the way. Highly recommend. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review Jonathan M A very good show. It raises some good questions and drama from a pretty interesting plotline. Paul Rudd is Paul Rudd playing two Paul Rudds... which is obviously amazing. All joke's aside, he actually does a pretty good job of differentiating the characters in an interesting way. Season 1 had decent humor, interesting story, and good character work. It was simply entertaining. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Tristan C Interesting idea but for me it just could have gone deeper. I never felt truly connected to any of the characters (with both new and old Myles being equally unlikable) and then it just ended... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/22/23 Full Review Martin B I love Rudd but this is a waste of his talent, Actors seem to relish playing multiple parts so good for Rudd but the clone deal is a cliche. Been done alot, always comes with a laundry list of obvious boiler plate bits to get the ball rolling and all this does is give you a sense of deja vu. I don't know like remember Multiplicity with Michael Keaton. Not so much premise, plot and character growth simply premise and watching the reactions. The initial disbelief then proof then acceptance bit just boring. Waste of Aisling Bea's talents as well. It all adds up to typical slap dash content produced in volume by Netflix with big names, knock it out quick then move on to the next widget. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/28/23 Full Review Mike C This was a pretty enjoyable story. Rudd did a great job as always especially because this character seemed ideal for him. It drags a bit in the middle episodes but then bounces back. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
