Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe The crime stories are poorly written, the production values are limited, and the Rusty business is forced. Sep 23, 2013 Full Review Jennifer L. Pozner Salon.com This may not be Shakespeare, but for a procedural crime show Major Crimes has a lot going for it: humane storylines, compassionate characters, diverse performers and women who get the job done. Jul 22, 2013 Full Review Matt Roush TV Guide Try not to roll your eyes too much at the opening scene of TNT's disappointing The Closer spin-off Major Crimes, which trots out the old clich of an amateur ride-along with the seasoned LAPD crime squad. Sep 9, 2013 Full Review Billy Nilles Zap2it.com It was the shading on the sides that advanced the continuing story of Sharon's involvement with Rusty that was worth the price of admission. Sep 9, 2013 Full Review Carissa Pavlica TV Fanatic The first season set a very high bar of success to meet, but I really think this well oiled machine can do it, even with the presence of the new DDA. Rated: 4.4/5 Jun 10, 2013 Full Review Lesley M. Smith PopMatters The new series premieres... with an episode so glacial that one has to ask: why are viewers so avidly watching yet another series where the supporting cast spends most of its time watching the lead character work? Audience Member Corona virus date night. I asked my wife why she likes the show. Her answer was "Because I can keep watching it. It doesn't make me flinch and have bad dreams." I myself would like to see an episode where Jessie Graff , swat team member, climbs a high rise building to get the bad guy. Hint hint......
