Exploring the fun and harrowing world of high school for the offspring of zombies, ghouls, and other undead creatures. Following the day-to-day antics of Frankie Stein, who, along with friends Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Lagoona Blue, enjoys parties, gossip, and of course, crushes on "mansters" like Deuce Gorgon and pop singers like Justin Biter and the Jaundice Brothers. Also adding to the fray is frenemy Cleo De Nile and her sidekick, Ghoulia Yelps. There's never a dull moment, especially when they are under pressure to fit in, look good, be popular, and find a date, but it's everything that high school should be.

Emma D It’s such a good show with so much amazing representation! It makes me so happy to see a new generation of monster high, staying even truer to the original message it was trying to get across. Plus the story lines are really cute! I absolutely love how all of the main characters get their own episodes, normally I’m not a huge fan of the main character because they get all the screen time but I feel like here everyone has an equal shot! I love Draculaura & Heath’s childhood friendship, I think that’s my favourite relationship in the show haha. I love Abbey omg she’s so cute she’s my favourite, I also love Frankie!! I was never massive on Frankie in G1 since in that she was the main character, but they’re easily one of my favourites in this generation, they’re so cute & relatable honestly haha. Plus it’s so sweet to see a character be so open about their queerness, I really needed that as a kid & I’m so glad kids NOW have that. The representation is awesome btw, it’s just as culturally diverse as G1 but this time it’s properly researched & the way it’s cast reflects that. I love the different body types, G3 came out when I was struggling with mine, & it made me feel better to see that when very few other shows including LIVE ACTION have that kind of representation. As for the queer representation? Some of the best I’ve seen! I do wish they would say the words, but considering “nonbinary” was cut from the live action movie maybe they’re not allowed to? So I won’t get too mad about that. My favourite queer rep is Deuce. I’m aroace (aromantic asexual) & even before he came out as aro in an episode there were plenty of signs, & I love how casually it was sprinkled in. There’s so many things he’s done or said that I was like “bro same” haha, & I just love that. ALSO kudos to Draculaura for saying the word “queer” in an episode, that was really nice haha. The disability rep is great too, I’m disabled too, & while my disability isn’t represented in the show, it makes me so happy to see the other disabilities that are! Neurodivergence too, I’m neurodivergent hehe & I love the way Twyla’s autism is portrayed, it feels pretty authentic :)) Be yourself, be unique, be a monster. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/08/24 Full Review Nayla K no bc WHAT are these new outfits, why does frankie have a crush on cleo who is MEANT to be dating deuce.. for all the true fans that have been here since the beginning, this is such a let down and they shouldve kept the show the same as the other movies or ditched it altogether. and since when did draculaura cast spells? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review Cass A It's very Mid, I like it alot! It's a MAJOR improvement over G2, and The diversity and inclusion in this generation is so much better than G1 (Even though Garrett fought for inclusion back then and Mattel denied it, but as soon as it was more "mainstream" they accepted it.) But unfortunately the series kind of lost what made the brand special: The fierce fashions. The dolls have more fashionable versions of the outfits which is great, but the uncohesiveness of the brands digital media in comparison to doll media throws things off a tad. The overarching storyline is a WONDERFUL addition when adapting to TV episodes, it's just a shame it's hidden behind many hijinks of mostly magic spells gone wrong. The voice talent is… fine? They're doing their best but a lot of them sound the same now, in pitch and american accent, as well as alot of them being the typical "quirky and clumsy" vibe. Overall, Lagoona with her insane bubbly and aggressive personality, as well as Twyla in her cute accurate to doll outfit I think steals the show with her sweetness, unique voice, and great representation. I even like Cleo's jokes, even if it seems a little out of left field for a character thats meant to be more self involved. The character revamps are all totally different, but thats expected with a completely rebranded reboot. Overall, i'm hoping in the future the characters get more doll accurate color swaps and changes, and maybe it'll focus more on the overarching talisman storyline. It's got GREAT promise and representation, just needs a little help shaping to get to a "Monster High" vibe I think! (Mostly in fashion) I will say I miss when they were ALL the children of legendary movie monsters, but I can see when leaving universal they had to focus on generic monsters and public domain fables. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/13/23 Full Review Baihaqi S This is a Great Version of Monster High👍🏻,characters are a lot nicer like Cleo is with clawdeen,Manny is no longer the bully and is close with Draculaura,G1 was great years ago and it still is but now a days kids want something more than just boyfriend talk and fashion problem,G3 Has more in depth Lore adventure and monster powers Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
