P This is a wonderful show about women in the MCU, four episodes, with beautiful women. Through this show, we got to see what the actors think about the character. I can also say about the fantastic animation. For example, watching the episode about the Scarlet Witch, through animation, we understood her mental health. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/23/23 Full Review John D Funny to see how mad this show makes the man babies lol, it's literally just a documentary with commentary on the characters from the actresses.. but yeah god forbid women simply exist .. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/23/23 Full Review Jacob B Is this really worth getting upset about? All this is is a simple series of mini-documentaries for Women's Day. I get that it's a common conspiracy theory that Disney bribes critics but, believe it or not, there are people who actually like these characters and were inspired by them. The worst thing I can say about MPower is that I feel like most of what's in these featurettes has already been covered in Assembled and YouTube videos on Marvel's channel and the lack of Black Widow representation is baffling. Probably because she doesn't have an upcoming movie and/or Disney were still bitter about Scarlett Johannson's lawsuit. Those small mini-animations are quite nice, though. Guys, it's not worth it to get upset about MPower. You can debate the merits of the actual Phase 4 films and TV shows all you want but, since this isn't even essential viewing for the MCU and is just meant to be something for Women's Day, there really is no point to call anyone who liked this a "Wanda stan" or whatever. It does pat itself a bit too much on the back, though. Oh well, may GOTG3 show that there's still some hope left for the MCU in its post-Endgame struggles. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/23 Full Review Ricky B It's just a load of buzz phrases that don't actually mean anything and a lot people thinking they are the be all and end all when all they do is play make believe for a living Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/16/23 Full Review Elle E Stomach churning, egotistical, patronising hogwash. Pathetic! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/13/23 Full Review Krotos A Mpower is one of the most inspiring shows I've ever seen. It's so fascinating watching how these characters I look up to are created. It's great to see the actor's perspectives on the characters they're playing and the writer's perspectives on the characters they're writing. As someone who grew up as a girl (I now identify as Non-binary, but I still feel a similar struggle as female-identifying people), I can relate deeply to these characters and look up to them. The episode about Wanda Maximoff genuinely made me cry. That episode speaks on grief and mental health, as someone struggling with anxiety and depression, this meant so much to me. Stephanie Morgan Common Sense Media Moreover, the show encourages audiences to find inspiration in both the heroic personas and the talented actors and professionals who bring these dynamic characters to life. Rated: 5/5 Sep 26, 2023 Full Review Brittany Vincent Decider As women, we need action instead of flowery language... It’s great that women have seen representation across the MCU and beyond, but MPower feels like Marvel taking a victory lap and congratulating itself for “doing everything right.” Mar 29, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
