Young, anti-social computer programmer Elliot works as a cybersecurity engineer during the day, but at night he is a vigilante hacker. He is recruited by the mysterious leader of an underground group of hackers to join their organization. Elliot's task? Help bring down corporate America, including the company he is paid to protect, which presents him with a moral dilemma. Although he works for a corporation, his personal beliefs make it hard to resist the urge to take down the heads of multinational companies that he believes are running -- and ruining -- the world.

Audience Member Loved it, only wish they focused more on the hacking and schizo theme like the first two seasons did. This one was more centered around the dark army which felt more like some sort of cartel show for a bit. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/11/25 Full Review Phillip D Top of the line show. Might be my favorite of all time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/11/25 Full Review Forged S Churning my way through this series wholesale. I loved the first season and second seasons. The homage to Fight Club's nihilistic mindset is prevalent throughout. But the other notable homage, the filmmaking style of Stanley Kubrick, has been the DNA of the show so far. How so? Let me explain. If you've ever seen a Kubrick film one thing you're sure to notice about his direction is how he handles dialogue. An actor would deliver a line and then there would be a long, sustained pause before the next actor delivered a response. To some this can be annoying, maybe even aggravating, almost the antithesis of an Aaron Sorkin scripted project, with quick, witty lines delivered in rapid secession. But the choice was intentional. Kubrick believed that by allowing for actors to showcase their range of emotion the scene could take on a life of its own and be more than the words on the page. This could also unintentionally add a sense of unease and unpredictability (look at The Shining and Full Metal Jacket for examples). This is what made the series pretty endearing for me up to this point AND this is exactly what they dropped in season 3. If anything, it's picked up another homage, Breaking Bad (and Better Call Saul) and the direction of Vince Gilligan. There's an overall realism to the series with slight surrealism undertones found throughout. Gilligan's work lends itself well to what's starting to feel like a dystopian cyberpunk origin story, and naturally the series needs to adapt, but we'll see how it goes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Gareth v Still as good as ever. Cannavale is a fantastic addition to the show, and in Elliot, Malek has created an anti-hero for a generation. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Kasso M Season 3 saw the show regain most of its footing lost in season 2. It was thrilling again to tune in each week. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This series continues to impress me. I can't wait to see how they handle the finale. There were some dead, unnecessary stretches in here, but it came back around. Bravo, again. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
