Nancy Drew is a brilliant teen detective whose sense of self had come from solving mysteries in her hometown of Horseshoe Bay, Maine -- until her mother's untimely death derails Nancy's college plans. Devastated by her mother's passing, Nancy swears off crime-solving while crossing off the days until she can reapply to college. But when a socialite is murdered, Nancy finds herself a prime suspect in the crime, along with a group of other teens present at the scene: Nancy's nemesis from high school, George Fan; a rich girl with a mysterious past, Bess Marvin; Nancy's secret boyfriend, Ned "Nick" Nickerson and amiable burnout Ace. The five of them must team up to clear their own names, encountering emotional entanglements and even more mysteries along the way.

Justin Carreiro The Young Folks An enjoyable introduction to the newest adventure in Horseshoe Bay. Rated: 8/10 May 20, 2021 Full Review Caitlin Wyneken Tell-Tale TV It's the tone we know well from the show, and with so much to keep track of after such a long time, it leads to a hectic hour -- often confusing, but with lots of authentic terror and some emotional wallop as well. Rated: 3.75/5 Jan 22, 2021 Full Review Rachel Foertsch TV Fanatic Nancy Drew is officially a paranormal mystery, and we couldn't be happier about the route the series has decided to take. Rated: 4.4/5 Jan 22, 2021 Full Review Kimberley Spinney Culturess While the Season 2 premiere might be more of a continuation of the first season than a typical premiere, it gave us what we needed to start off a new season of mysteries, adventures, hauntings, and more. Jackson M S2 takes a nosedrive from S1. It stumbles out of the gate with an exceptionally weak plot. The french girl, french reading and french singing were awful. S2 has the strong impression that the writers were piecing together desperate ideas in hopes they'd accidentally find an arc, but it never happens. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/25 Full Review Josh R This show should be a steaming mess, but it works on a gonzo level. The plotting in S2 is near-meth-level hectic, yet manages to find time for emotional depth. Some parts (a twenty-something man as a Chinese grandmother) are hilarious. The love triangle with the ghost-possessed woman is sexy, yet tragic. The manic whodunnit about a racially fraught topic. I don't know how I can write these words and still give this show 5 stars, yet that is what's happening. It's goofy, fun genre pulp that doesn't take itself too seriously, yet the stakes feel real and it seems to have something to say. I credit both the writers and the actors. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Madison M One of my newest favourite shows. Very disappointed it's cancelled after only its fourth season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Season 2 was just as interesting. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/01/23 Full Review Felicia K Nancy drew finds it footing in season 2, with the curse of the Aglaeca. It's a good choice for an audience who is not necessary into Horror but still wants to participate in watching supernatural/paranormal content. For those who love Chilling adventures of Sabrina or Twin peaks this will be exactly your cup of tea. It's a campy and awful and we love everything about this 2nd season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/03/23 Full Review Veronica O I already enjoyed the character stories and intrigue of season 1, but by season 2 it feels like they found their feet. It's great the first time through, but the amount of foreshadowing they sneak into minor details and even background events gives it a lot of fun rewatchability.
