Critics Consensus

Physical packs it in with a final season that, much like a good workout, is bracing but pays off with a satisfying endorphin rush.

Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) As a sharply chiselled body of work across 30 half-hour episodes, the show feels authoritative and complete. Rated: 4/5 Aug 3, 2023 Full Review Cristina Escobar RogerEbert.com “Physical” ends up buying into the system it started out critiquing. Aug 3, 2023 Full Review Kate Sánchez But Why Tho? A Geek Community Physical Season 3 Episode 10 will mean a lot to those who have watched Sheila’s journey, and whether you’re in need of a happy ending or a realistic one will determine how much you love her send-off. Rated: 8/10 Sep 27, 2023 Full Review Leah Sydney Showbiz 411 If you haven't seen PHYSICAL yet, Apple TV+ hit dark comedy, PHYSICAL, binge it now! Rose Byrne is simply one of the finest actors working today. PHYSICAL ends it's series run on an artistic high bar! Aug 19, 2023 Full Review Barbara Ellen Observer (UK) While still not perfect (shouldn’t self-loathing and patriarchy seen through a disco-haze be more fun?), Physical has definitely ended up being more interesting than when it started. Audience Member Just finished! I have not felt this wholesomely satisfied with a show in a long time. Quality casting choices, set design, script, plot pacing, post production coloring, and fabulous implementation of drama. The development of the main character and not knowing her to be either hero or villain was demonstrative of the internal struggle those with self-awareness face. Then it has a wonderfully rewarding message waiting for you at the very end. I could probably write an essay of every little detail I loved about the show, but I won’t. Anyway, big fan. Happy to have experienced it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/25 Full Review NoneYa B I couldn’t even make it through season 3. The only 2 characters I cared about were missing until halfway thru the last episode. Bunny and Tyler carried the show. Everyone else was completely unlikeable. Skip to episode 10 call it a day the show was a drag. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Hazel N I learned a lot even about myself from this show. Rose is exceptionally powerful. I'm allowed to have favorites and she's one of them! My husband and I couldn't get enough of her saying things we wanted to scream at other characters. I recommend this show to most women for sure. It's a new experience. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/16/23 Full Review HJ M LOVE this show! What a fresh, eye opening take on a sensitive subject. As someone who struggled with an eating disorder in my 20's, so much of the story line is spot on. This show combines everything, and is widely entertaining! The cast is superb! Rose Byrne is SO good, Rory Scovel, Della Saba, Paul Sparks, and Dierdre Friel are all stand outs! Kudos to the casting director! Can't wait for season! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/08/23 Full Review Yash B "Physical" dips in quality a bit for me in its second season, but comes back nicely with its third and final season. I feel like my enjoyment of this show would vary from episode to episode, but I mostly enjoyed it because of the lead performance from Rose Byrne. Her character isn't necessarily likable but she's fascinating to watch and I found myself invested in what would happen to her. The show has some interesting satirical elements, I just feel like the story is not that consistent. I still think it is a good show that is worth watching but it is not one anyone needs to go out of their way to see. Overall, it is a performance-driven show that is a slog at times, but also an exciting rush in others, and ultimately a nice quick show to check out. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/23 Full Review Jorge M #TvSeries #2023 #La101 #AppleTV #Physical #Season3 ¿De que trata? En esta temporada nos cuentan las consecuencias de la infidelidad de Sheila y John, el distanciamiento entre Sheila y Greta, las peleas de Sheila contra la ansiedad de comer y el éxito de su negocio de aerobicos. ¿Me gustó?
