Todd Everett Variety Typically, script by creator/exec producer David E. Kelley manages to score strong points on both sides of a controversial subject while providing one of the funniest shows on television. And it doesn't even have (or need) a laugh track. Jun 14, 2019 Full Review Margaret Lyons New York Magazine/Vulture Fences just loved a good, old-fashioned legal debate, and while the show's various shenanigans are not at all realistic, the strong feelings -- particularly strong feelings of empathy-driven ambivalence -- are not. Jun 14, 2019 Full Review Ken Parish Perkins Chicago Tribune What I've enjoyed about this series is how it touches on the gray areas of ethical and moral issues... Kelley thrives as a dramatist who can make humorless issues entertaining TV. Jun 14, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
