Critics Consensus

The interplay between the characters lacks spark, but the detailed world-building of Powers shows potential.

Alex Abad-Santos Vox Instead of cutting through the fat of the overfed superhero genre, Powers wilts and sputters. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 16, 2018 Full Review Wenlei Ma News.com.au The world of Powers might just be engrossing enough to sustain the flaws, especially if superheroes are your game. Jun 10, 2016 Full Review Keith Uhlich The Hollywood Reporter Would that the commitment of these actors felt like it was in support of something worthy. Mar 16, 2015 Full Review Scott Weinberg Nerdist It's easy to assert that we've got "too many" superheroic series going on right now, but fortunately Powers is not too light, not too moody, not too glossy and not too completely uninteresting... Powers seems pretty appealing to me right about now. Jul 16, 2018 Full Review Evan Valentine Collider While Powers has an interesting hook, it just doesn't ever reach a level where I can recommend it for people to watch. Give this one a pass. Rated: 1/5 Jul 16, 2018 Full Review John Saavedra Den of Geek There's a lot of story to cover and mythology to establish. And Powers is full steam ahead. Jul 16, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member so cheesy ....and every thing is cheap , special effects and all . Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/12/24 Full Review Audience Member This show started off weird. But after the first few (maybe 3) episodes I loved It! I wish there were more seasons to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Now a days it's hard to find an original idea that captures even a small amount of attention from the crowd. And this, in my opinion, has been one of the best new series in the last 5 years. So I just want to thank everyone who had a hand in this amazing series and I hope that sooner rather than later it's greatness can be fully realized. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This show is phenomenal. It is original and it draws you in quick. It totally beats out all the other super hero shows because unlike the Marvel or DC series that let you down because of lack of story, not following comics, or the fact that the actors totally do not do the actual characters justice. This show is quite the opposite. All the characters are original, the story is original and it is gritty and uncut. It is everything that all the other shows wish they were. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This show is like nothing I have ever seen before. Casting is beyond perfect and a treat to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Has some potential but lacks sincerity and cohesion not only from the scripts but also some of the cast. In fact there is a lot better out there to enjoy and if this returns they need to do a hell of a lot better Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
