Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times It’s a straightforward, mostly unfussy, workman-like production. Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Camilla Long Times (UK) It felt like a real dirty treat — glowering, moody, emotional shots of Chicago and everything seemed to be filmed, Peeping Tom-style, through a window, screen or behind a bush. Jun 17, 2024 Full Review Hugo Rifkind Times (UK) ... The best thing about Presumed Innocent is how accurately it really does recreate the sensation of settling down in front of one of those long, tense, crackingly good Hollywood thrillers of 30-plus years ago. Jun 17, 2024 Full Review Alan French Sunshine State Cineplex Presumed Innocent thrives with its stellar cast and top-notch writing. In many ways, it's one of the best shows of 2024. It rarely reaches true highs, but it never dips in quality Rated: 8/10 Jul 24, 2024 Full Review Lara Rosales Tell-Tale TV Ultimately, the show delivers an extraordinary series finale that makes viewers wonder about the truth until the very end. Francisco R The best, each time ot goes better and better, you cant stop, it goles creazy! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Jeff A I'll admit, I felt like it was dragging out at times. I did see the movie first of course. But wow, they redeemed whatever criticisms I had with the ending. No spoiler. Brilliant really, when so much of that is missing now, especially from an Apple offering. Maybe the best thing Apple has done. Most reviews prior to now will not account for the ending. The ending was just released tonight for download, 24/July/2024. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Audience Member A letdown. MILD SPOILERS AHEAD! This series had so much going for it in terms of suspense and drama, but the reveal at the end kind of ruined it for me. I anticipated it might be somewhat unexpected, but when the motives were revealed, I just kind of laughed. It made no sense why. I personally anticipated that Rusty ultimately have been the one to commit the murder, seeing how much misdirection the show was trying to do. Rusty's actual involvement also baffled me. I can see how thinking to protect his family he would do that, but that only brings a suspicion on himself even more. Plus, why did the prosecution drop the obstruction charges?! Rusty was definitely guilty of that. He literally assaulted a man and got away scott free. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Jim M I thought this show was absolutely horrible. I don’t know how anyone could give it a high review. There’s not a single character anyone could possibly care about. By the end, I just wanted it over and to know who did it. That’s the exact opposite of what you’re aiming for in a show like this. Yes, Jake Gyllenhaal is gorgeous and everyone loves him, but it doesn’t make you want to cheer for him since he’s such a despicable character, as his pretty much everyone else in the entire show. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review James D. B Jake Gyllenhaal surrounded by great actors. Unfortunately, Tommy Molto is a bit 2-dimensional. They could have done more with the lead prosecutor. Overall, very enjoyable. Loved the judge. Some of the chambers were good but the a few were a bit outlandish. Any attorneys watching, momentarily suspend your disbelief. Enjoy and don't ruin it for your friends/family. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Dan N Ugh. The book was a classic accurate legal epic. This story has nothing to do with any legal principles. Truly unnerving seeing the legal system portrayed as such complete farce. An unintentional comic parody. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
