Shawn Spencer happens to possess some uncanny powers of observation thanks to his father, Henry, a former police officer who taught his son to remember even the smallest details of his surroundings. When Shawn is accused of committing a crime that he actually solved, he convinces the cops that he's a psychic -- and with the reluctant help of best friend Gus, Shawn starts solving cases for a skeptical but increasingly impressed police force.

David Wiegand San Francisco Chronicle "Psych" works largely because of the chemistry between [James] Roday and [Dulé] Hill, and because of the frequently loopy writing. Rated: 3/4 Feb 14, 2020 Full Review Maureen Ryan Chicago Tribune "Psych" really relies on our ability to handle so-bad-they're-good puns, goofball dialogue, silly plots and exuberant fizziness on the part of the actors. I refuse to call it hamming, because true hams only perform for their own personal glory. Aug 1, 2018 Full Review LaToya Ferguson AV Club With the guest cast, the series knocks it out of the park. Apr 16, 2018 Full Review Jason Thompson Bullz-Eye.com In this second season of "Psych" we have 16 mostly great episodes that work as well as they do not only because of the smart, quick-witted writing, but also because the ensemble cast is just so damn good in general. Rated: 4.5/5 Feb 14, 2020 Full Review James Chamberlin IGN Movies We're glad to see Psych back, even for one week and bring us a few laughs. Rated: 8.2/10 Aug 1, 2018 Full Review Jonah Krakow IGN Movies All in all, this was a fitting end to the second season of PSYCH. Rated: 8.5/10 Apr 16, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Brayden M Each season of Psych is equally as entertaining as the one prior. The amount of pop culture references and comedic aspects makes rewatchability endless. James Roday Rodrigues and Dule Hill make a great duo and each episode with Woody is 10x as enjoyable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/23/25 Full Review Elena G A solid season that sets the show up with a strong foundation. It subtly hints at future storylines, hones in on the ridiculousness, and warms you up to Shawn as a person (and not just as a man-child). Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/15/25 Full Review David W I've loved each series of this. It's been consistently hilarious, superbly plotted and with a fantastic cast of lovable characters all played beautifully by the superb cast. Brilliant. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/25 Full Review Brian G AND NOW you know why the critics of Rotten tomato's are idiots! HO)W can they give season one a 55% score, and season 2 a 100% score? CAUSE THEY DIDNT REALLY WATCH! For those of us that DID watch the whole series, this season was even better. But there is NO WAY it was twice as good as season one. SEASON ONE WAS 100% AS WELL! Sorry for yelling, but for the crits to give 55 then 100 proves they are idiots. WATCH THIS SHOW! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review Jane P You won't find a funnier show that's always fresh and original despite so many seasons and movies. Gus and Shawn have so much chemistry which makes it that much better, the whole cast do. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Starts off strong with Duos and does not let up!
