Co-creator Ashton Kutcher sets into motion elaborate pranks aimed at Hollywood stars and other celebs. Among the bigwigs who have been "punk'd" are Frankie Muniz (the show's very first victim), Katie Holmes, Nick Lachey, Halle Berry, Justin Timberlake, Serena Williams, Zach Braff, Andy Roddick, Beyonce and Hugh Jackman. Kutcher hosted the show from its 2003 beginning to its supposed end in 2007, but five years later "Punk'd" returned with a different celebrity host each week, including Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Bam Margera and Dax Shepard, who take the pranks to a whole new level. The fresher episodes also give viewers an inside look at how the elaborate pranks are set up.

David Hiltbrand Philadelphia Inquirer Guess what? It's still as irresistible as a bowl of pistachios. Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Verne Gay Newsday The pleasures of Punk'd are, admittedly, base pleasures. But most of us will take our TV pleasures any way we can get 'em, base or otherwise, which means this revival should do just fine. Rated: B Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Jessica Jardine AV Club The first prank on Swift is a solid return to (what only a fool would refer to as) the "glory days" of the hit show. Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Geoff Berkshire HitFix Frankly, after just one episode, I'm all "Punk'd" out. Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Boston Herald Staff Boston Herald Punk'd seems to have a budget to rival a commercial network show, and the twist of rotating hosts whips up a new level of paranoia. Now the famous and clueless can't even trust each other. Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Matt Roush TV Guide Justin Bieber takes such delight in entrapping siren-ettes Taylor Swift and Miley Cirus in elaborate pranks that no doubt sounded funnier on paper.
