Oscar-nominated actor William H. Macy stars as Frank Gallagher, a single father of six who spends much of his free time drinking at bars. The Gallagher children -- led by oldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum), who takes on much of the child-rearing responsibility due to her mother's absence -- manage to raise themselves in spite of Frank's lack of parenting and unusual parenting style when he does choose to act like a father. The drama is an adaptation of the BAFTA Award-winning British show of the same name.

Alan Sepinwall Uproxx Overall, this was the most consistent, and probably best, of the three American "Shameless" seasons so far, even if it feels like the season emotionally peaked back during the custody battle arc. Dec 18, 2017 Full Review Steve Johnson Chicago Tribune This year is starting with attempts at comedy that either don't ring funny or true, even within the show's very broadly defined reality, or both. Dec 18, 2017 Full Review Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe The story races forward happily and aggressively, but none of the plot strands among the many characters is ever dropped or given short shrift. Jan 13, 2013 Full Review David Crow Den of Geek Season 3 of Shameless is off to a solid start. Dec 18, 2017 Full Review Patrick Sullivan TV.com Shameless moves quite a bit faster than most TV shows. Dec 18, 2017 Full Review Caroline Preece TV Equals Yet again this show seems to have found a way to keep itself fresh for another year of screw ups and shameless antics. letaiser good season but even more shocking and brutal than the 1st to season this season was risky ,it had some very risky and brutal scenes I haven't expect to see at shameless and there were very weird things as an example Kev getting a baby with vs mom ,but even some wholesome things like in the last episode frank trying to interract more with the kids in a good way , jimmy is gone .... again , and this is the last season where the actors are still young kids at season 4 they are teenagers so this season is overall pretty good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/24 Full Review Regal R 50/100 - not as good as all the hype. peaks s2 but then falls off season 3 and on. gets really repetitive, annoying, predictable, and the situations that occur are so unrealistic it breaks your immersion. they ruin any type of character traits and every single one just pulls a 180. good characters are now bad, bad characters are now good, responsible characters are irresponsible, just super bad writing because its every single one and its so unbelievable. i genuinely dont know how it went on for 11 seasons. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review Silke A Season 3 is definitely one of my favorite shameless seasons. It's very chaotic and I cry to Ian's storyline every single time I watch this season. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Made me laugh, cry, and appreciate more the somewhat privileged life we have! Amazing story and consistent quality! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member 7/10: Good, I like this quite a bit, it's solid Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
