Oscar-nominated actor William H. Macy stars as Frank Gallagher, a single father of six who spends much of his free time drinking at bars. The Gallagher children -- led by oldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum), who takes on much of the child-rearing responsibility due to her mother's absence -- manage to raise themselves in spite of Frank's lack of parenting and unusual parenting style when he does choose to act like a father. The drama is an adaptation of the BAFTA Award-winning British show of the same name.

Alan Sepinwall Uproxx Call it a comedy, call it a drama, call it whatever; it's great, and this was probably my favorite season yet. Dec 18, 2017 Full Review Sonia Saraiya AV Club Shameless has many moments of triumph-and it also manages to find humor in what anyone else would see as horrible tragedy-but this fourth season, in which the characters begin to interact with the wider world, is its darkest yet. Rated: A- Apr 4, 2014 Full Review Alan Sepinwall HitFix It's an excellent, appropriately effed-up beginning and suggests the creative team has found a way to evolve without having to radically change what the show is. Jan 13, 2014 Full Review Terron Moore Esquire Magazine Shameless can be a bizarre, twisted show when it wants, but it's also telling a better coming-of-age story than anything else on TV. Oct 19, 2018 Full Review Kelly West CinemaBlend Season 4 may be setting itself up to get back to that point, but as it stands, things feel unfamiliar. With that said, unfamiliar is ok. Dec 18, 2017 Full Review Patrick Sullivan TV.com I'm not trying to be negative-few shows love their characters as much as Shameless loves the Gallaghers-but I hope you're ready for another bumpy ride. Beto G Tremenda serie, grandes personajes y de forma divertida muestran problemas muy profundos de la sociedad en Estados Unidos. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review letaiser it was a good season but it was just way something else when you compare this season and the season before but not in a very good way ,the characters were more annoying ,Carl was like the only one I kind of like this season and maybe Kev and V but the rest was just ,Lip was very relatable but I didn't very liked his scenes this season they were just to boring ,Fiona had the best scenes but she was getting sometimes kind of annoying and in every episode it was just based off the same thing , Debbie was even more annoying in this season than in the season before so she was literally soooooooooo annoying there was maybe 1 character I thought was more annoying which was sheila ,goddamn every scene she was in ruined almost everything , I really thought frank didn't would make it even tho he is a maicharacter and this shows how good this Show is made, so overall good season but it was not really for me Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Cassie L Season four of Shameless is very likely its best—and a shining achievement in television at that. Every character has thoughtful and engaging storylines, paced exquisitely, with multiple powerful performances across the show's impressive ensemble. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review Regal R 50/100 - not as good as all the hype. peaks s2 but then falls off season 3 and on. gets really repetitive, annoying, predictable, and the situations that occur are so unrealistic it breaks your immersion. they ruin any type of character traits and every single one just pulls a 180. good characters are now bad, bad characters are now good, responsible characters are irresponsible, just super bad writing because its every single one and its so unbelievable. i genuinely dont know how it went on for 11 seasons. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review Silke A One of my favorite shameless seasons. This was definitely Fiona's saddest season (imo) and Carl & Debbie both got a bigger role which I really liked.
