Graeme McMillan io9.com It wasn't perfect, of course; it's Smallville, after all, and that means disappointing special effects and outfits... But it was fun; silly and full of derring-do, with much more comic geekery thrown in than normal. Feb 13, 2020 Full Review Jennifer Smith Collider Smallville is a fun and compelling show that just gets better with age, one with the bravery to prune away old characters that have run their course and to add brilliant new ones. Feb 12, 2020 Full Review Dave Roper HeyUGuys This is a season that seems to be feeling the pinch of budget constraints in some of its special effects and scope, but the cast are clearly very comfortable in their roles. Feb 6, 2020 Full Review Bruce Simmons Screen Rant If they can manage this momentum, it will be a good season but I think many of us are gun-shy after last seasons' Doomsday buildup. Feb 7, 2019 Full Review Anthony Ocasio Screen Rant Not only did it exceed all expectations, but it also gave the series new life with a glimpse as to how amazing the tenth season could be. Feb 7, 2019 Full Review Peter Clines CinemaBlend I'll still admit the show can be fun on an episode-by-episode basis. Rated: 3/5 Jul 13, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Ed R Interesting season. The dynamic between Lois and Clark was never the same as the relationship with Lana. The Zod relationship is also interesting and could be better. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/27/24 Full Review Jason R Smallville season 9 starts with Clark training with Jor-el but unable to stop thinking about Lois, her absence made his heart grow fonder, Lois returns after disappearing while fighting Tess and having the legion ring, this season develops the Clark and Lois relationship further and has General Zod as villain. 9/10 there are a couple of filler episodes that weren't needed imo Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Andrius Y Enserio que es una fantasía dramática ver el final de el amorío casi perpetuo entre Clark y Lana y mas de la forma en que todo termina vaya que incluso me dolio. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/08/24 Full Review Audience Member simply in the middle, not good but not bad. Great cliffhanger ending though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member yea zod clone when he was young (like 20 years before becoming evil) he becomes evil in literally 5 minutes of screen time. zod goes from beg to clark to stay on earth with the kandorians to literally five minutes later planning how to overtake earth and destroy humanity. final battle was quite good since it supposed to be the ending to the show but was renewed. nothing good came from it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Utterly poor offering. Rubbish writing and plots, clearly slashed budget on special effects and casting. The actor they got to play Zod was dreadful. The character was sleazy, and spoke without swallowing. We spent the whole season saying about each guest star 'even HE could have made a better ZOD.'
