Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly The premise is vague yet just intriguing enough to make the show compelling, even though it constantly verges on silly cuteness. Rated: C+ Aug 1, 2019 Full Review Howard Rosenberg Los Angeles Times The premiere of "Strange Luck" explores mysterious links between past and present in an artful way that absorbs you in Chance's search for his own identity. Aug 1, 2019 Full Review Kinsey Lowe Variety The show has amazing visual texture. Cinematographer Victor Goss has achieved a rich, nourish style. Production designer Randy Ser likewise deserves kudos for the show's look. Aug 1, 2019 Full Review Craig Tomashoff People Magazine The show's offbeat sense of humor and dark, moody visual style make for one of the most unique and inventive new series since The X-Files. Rated: A- Aug 1, 2019 Full Review David Wharton The Daily Dot Aside from being a fun little paranormal procedural in and of itself, Strange Luck also tied itself into one of the most iconic shows of all times thanks to an episode where Chance is referred to Fox Mulder. Audience Member This is so different than almost any other show. Good casting and acting, and the individual episodes also smoothly feed a season arc. All it takes is just the tiniest bit of something "different" about the star, and the rest is drama and comedy.
