John Doyle Globe and Mail As twisted as it is, the story never forgets to give us some depth of feeling about all the players, no matter which side they are on. May 6, 2022 Full Review Ed Power Daily Telegraph (UK) It’s a corkscrewing drama that paints a nuanced portrait of a country often caricatured as one-dimensionally theocratic and anti-Western. Just as importantly, it ratchets up the tension with bruising panache. Rated: 4/5 May 6, 2022 Full Review Rebecca Nicholson Guardian A thriller so hectic it makes Homeland look like one of those ambient noise apps that send you off to sleep. Rated: 4/5 May 6, 2022 Full Review Mira Fox The Forward “Tehran” is no longer a show that gives insight into the frustrations of Iranian youth or the identity conflict of Israeli immigrants; it’s just a Bond ripoff with a dash of Farsi. Rated: C Aug 2, 2023 Full Review William Schwartz Book & Film Globe Typical shoot and cry nonsense, where everyone acts like their actions have a purpose despite the show doing a poor job of explaining the exact mechanics of what they’re trying to do. Jul 21, 2022 Full Review Hannah Brown Jerusalem Post Israel has produced several masterfully crafted, suspenseful espionage dramas in recent years and Tehran is one of the very best. Leonard b Absolutely brilliant really shows how different ideas come together to give you a different perspective on life in Iran even if it is just a drama just starting series two? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/08/24 Full Review Howard M The character development is really great, the complexity of the characters are so well written. The acting and music really capture the essence of espionage. Season 1& 2 are both great Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/27/24 Full Review Steve M A little too much of Glenn Close... but the series retains it's cat and mouse edge of your seat episodes. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/24/24 Full Review Ian S Easily one of the best shows on television (streaming). Every episode is a captivating thrill ride. Cannot wait for season 3 (hopefully the issues in the real world don't delay or discontinue it). Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/16/24 Full Review John S Two episodes into season two, and it is a major letdown after season one. Everything is cheesier and less plausible, might give up soon Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Janice J Excellent acting. Many twist and turns. Thrilling Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
