Instead of aiming for emotional depth, avoiding desperation for laughs, and delivering thoughtful dialogue like 'That ’70s Show' often did, it’s relying on cartoonish behavior without offering anything of substance. Go to Full Review

That ’90s Show isn’t anything revolutionary, but it builds on the best parts of itself here and leaves us waiting for what happens next. Go to Full Review

By not trying too hard to elicit nostalgia for the ‘90s, the ‘70s, or the original show it is based on, the series finds its mojo in this second part Go to Full Review

The main complaint we had about the first season of That ’90s Show remains: When the characters from That ’70s Show are on screen, especially without any of the teens, the show is funny. Go to Full Review

Timothy R Mar 2 If you are a fan of That 70s Show, take a chance. You won't be disappointed. The creators know what made the original great and stick by it, and the little love letters to the original show, and just being a 90s kid in general, are perfect. While the returning members of the 70s cast are incredible from the jump, I will admit it took a little time for the new cast of kids to fully find their groove. But I think giving shows, especially comedies, that time really pays off, and That 90s Show is a prime example of this. By Season 2 they have fully nailed it. Really a shame that Netflix didn't give this show a chance; It show's how out of touch they are. I hope the creators can take it elsewhere, letting this show die would be absolutely tragic. I tolerated its last few seasons, I tolerated that 80’s show… I even tried to enjoy that 90’s show first season. The original cast - made it almost ok but the new cast is just plain bad. The writing is poor…. It just isn’t landing at all for me. As a kid of the 80’s and 90’s I hoped it would capture that era - but hasn’t at all. Did I mention the acting was bad? It is so bloody terrible. I got my kids to watch it, thinking maybe it’s me… they all agreed. Just awful. My eldest who LOVED that 70’s show (she binged watched it when you could still stream it) says - it is super cringe” Whomever greenlit this garbage, those who wrote it, and anyone remotely responsible should look at new industries to work in… See more Tim V @govargo 08/27/2024 As a Gen xer, this hits the spot in more ways than I thought it would. I read some other review on this, and they said season 2 was where it found its groove and I can't agree more. See more Walter B 08/23/2024 The show has it's own unique charm while bringing you back to your childhood and teenage years with their drops of 90's pop culture nostalgia. I've found the series overall enjoyable. See more Frank R 08/21/2024 Absolutely horrendous and an embarrassment to the original. The ONLY tolerable moments are those with the original cast.
