himani Autostraddle Much of the frustration with Legend of Korra is warranted, particularly around the political narratives it's endorsing. At the same time, Korra denies us the easy solutions that leave us feeling cozy after watching Avatar. Jan 12, 2022 Full Review Gwen Ihnat AV Club The martial-arts action segments are unparalleled (like an animated Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), but Korra's status as one of the great feminist cartoon heroines secures her place on this list. Oct 31, 2018 Full Review Joshua Rivera Entertainment Weekly Korra's growth from brash and impatient teenager to capable leader and mature woman is incredibly satisfying; Korra managed to be one of the best series about a female superhero since Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Sep 21, 2018 Full Review Michael Cuby them. Better than its predecessor, not only because it centers the experience of a complicated young woman, but also because it was a show that dared to end on a note that confirmed it had been about the romantic connection between two women all along. Sep 30, 2022 Full Review David Griffin Screen Rant [Kuvira] is a fearsome beauty, possessing a strength and determination that could rival Amon, or even Zaheer. While her motivations for this new world order are still unclear, she should be an interesting addition to this season Sep 21, 2018 Full Review Allyson Johnson The Young Folks I loved this show by the end, and I can't tell you how happy it made me to see such a strong lineup of female characters, led by the strongest who was a woman of color. Oli W Disappointing, Made watching avatar stressful, not the experience The spirit element has pretty much vanished now so the mystery and connections gone. Feels like part has been missing for three seasons now. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Luis G While not as great as the previous season, this was a very solid and satisfying finale. The entire show had the best villains and antagonist of the the franchise and the action scenes have never been this good. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/05/23 Full Review Mico N A concluding chapter that is able to wrap up the various arcs throughout the series, could have been a little better but still provided what is asked and delivered. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review Antonio P Some cgi that looked a bit off but animation was great and overall an enjoyable season to watch to end the show. While I was hoping for some more closure for the characters, I ultimately it was a good finale for the season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/28/23 Full Review Tito G This season had my favorite episode in the show: Korra Alone. To me, that really summarized what the show was all about. Although the ending felt open-ended in terms of what came next for Korra and her world and I would've loved more closure, I did think it ended on a nice note. I have no idea if I'll like or watch any of the other upcoming Avatar-related projects, but at least I enjoyed this show. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Maggie P Kuvira as an antagonist really grew on me in my re-watch. I thought this was a good end to the season overall and was a good enough ending to the show in general with how different each season's storylines were - although I wish we had gotten more closure to these characters if this is the last we'll see of them.
