For years Patrick Jane has served as an independent consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation, earning a reputation for unusual methods and disregard for protocol -- not to mention his former career as a psychic -- while using his link with the department to hunt Red John, the serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter; when a scandal causes the dissolution of the CBI team, he goes to Mexico, until tracked down by the FBI and drawn into their fold to help solve crimes once again with his acute powers of observation; with negotiations he secures jobs there for his associates, Theresa Lisbon and Kimball Cho.

Emily St. James AV Club Almost in spite of myself, I kinda like The Mentalist. It's sunnier and more predisposed toward jollity than your usual CBS crime procedural. Rated: B Dec 18, 2019 Full Review Jason Hughes CinemaBlend The season does a good job, in best X-Files style, of offering regular updates and progression on the Red John front, while balancing it with standalone episodes that spotlight Jane and his team Rated: 4/5 Oct 19, 2018 Full Review Ramsey Isler IGN Movies After a highly praised first season, The Mentalist is back with essentially the same formula. If it's not broke, don't try to fix it. Rated: 7.6/10 Oct 19, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member en esta temporada la serie demuestra decadencia hacia el publico, su obsesion compulsiva sobre un asesino llega a cansar al publico, ademas el protagonista de la serie se cree demasiado gracioso, pero sus chistes son pesado y le quita seriedad a los casos Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
