The series picks up one year after the events in the final episode of "The Good Wife." After a financial scam destroys the reputation of young lawyer Maia Rindell and wipes out her mentor and godmother Diane Lockhart's savings, the two are forced out of Lockhart & Lee and join forces with Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago's pre-eminent law firms. At Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad, Diane finds familiar faces, including Colin Morrello, who is a rising star in the state's attorney's office, and Marissa Gold. Though starting at the bottom, Diane and Maia are determined to rebuild their careers and lives at the new firm.

Cristina Escobar RogerEbert.com No longer a show about white women at a Black law firm, so can now plumb what it means for Diane... to be a white leader in a Black space with balance and acuity. Aug 30, 2021 Full Review Inkoo Kang Washington Post It's the kind of larkish story line that "The Good Fight" does like no other show: one that reflects, with a painful accuracy and an utter lack of self-seriousness, the ways that our institutions fail most of us every day. Jul 9, 2021 Full Review Wenlei Ma News.com.au The series is sharper and more incisive than it's ever been, and it clips along at a brisk pace so that each episode never loses its momentum. Jul 4, 2021 Full Review Dustin Rowles Pajiba It's messy, but to the Kings' credit, they don't shy away from the mess. They embrace it and, like any good writer, mine it for content. Jun 28, 2021 Full Review Jessica Lerner TV Fanatic The Good Fight has never shied away from incorporating real-life events into the show's fabric, but this [premiere] installment took that a step too far. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 24, 2021 Full Review Rob Owen Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Patinkin is always fun to watch but through the first four episodes his arc as a disruptor to the judicial system is more entertaining than driving a dramatic storyline with stakes. Jeri B The final season was beyond ridiculous, beyond stupid and terribly over acted. Sarah Steele and Audra McDonald we're annoying and given too much time. Not sure if the issues raised were helpful, seemed to divide more than bring them together. Each season became more ridiculous, I was angry that I gave it so much time to turn around which did not happen😡 Wasn't even funny, Monte Phyton is funny not preposterous. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/29/23 Full Review Elizabeth M Very well written. Excellent performances. Loved it. Had it all, politics, relationships, humorous and suspenseful. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/23 Full Review muhammed s Boring show for older people! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The first 3 seasons of The Good Fight were intriguing because they brought up challenging questions that were usually answered in a thought-provoking manner. But half of the time, the characters were paper thin with simplistic plots that had obvious outcomes. Season four was a blazing mystery of WTF! Most of the episodes were wedged into shoeboxes to conform to previous real-world events with absolutely no ties at reality. The deal breaker, and what made me cancel my subscription to Paramount+ was Season Five...a total WTF. There's absolutely no true story writing going on, with 10 year olds throwing crap at the wall and having it stick. The worst actors that should have been abandoned after season 1 are Sarah Steel and Rose Lesie, who are among the WROST actors I've ever seen. They're as fake and dull as they characters they portrait. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretentious rubbish. Gimmick after gimmick, transparent caricatures and astoundingly childish writing combine to create a big budget series disappointment. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The actors are all five stars and keep the show going even when it gets absolutely ridiculous and pointless. Baranski and McDonald are national treasures, Patinkin is Patinkin, and the show's not so secret weapon remains Sarah Steele. Hopefully next season, the writers will make better use of one of the best casts on television. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
