Emmy-winning writer Greg Garcia ("My Name Is Earl") is behind this anthology series, a quirky, single-camera comedy that brings to life the many stories Garcia has left in guest books of various rental cabins in an effort to freak out the next inhabitants. While the vacation-home setting, Froggy Cottage, and the characters living in the small mountain town remain constant, episodes feature a wide array of actors -- Jenna Fischer, Stockard Channing, Margo Martindale, Michael Rapaport, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Andrew J. West, among them -- guest starring as the house's renters. Recurring cast includes Kellie Martin ("Army Wives") as a town police officer, and Carly Jibson (Broadway's "Hairspray") as a bikini-bar proprietor.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

An outstanding cast and sporadically sharp humor make The Guest Book worth checking out, even if its anthology formula leads to a bumpy journey from episode to episode.

David Bianculli NPR It's a layered, twisted structure as complicated as the intermingled plot twists of Curb Your Enthusiasm or Arrested Development. And yes, Guest Book deserves mention in that same company. Sep 6, 2017 Full Review Neil Genzlinger New York Times It grows on you, because it sharpens as it goes along. Aug 4, 2017 Full Review Steve Greene IndieWire The show lives and dies on the strength of its episode-to-episode stories. A few of them are entertaining enough, but a show that's still in search of its strengths still keeps it from being a reliable trip worth taking every week. Rated: C+ Aug 4, 2017 Full Review Savannah Brock The Young Folks The 30-minute comedy has a lot of promise and since it is an anthology, it gives the show room to explore different story arcs. Rated: 6/10 Aug 8, 2017 Full Review Ken Tucker Yahoo! TV Is the show funny? Sort of. It's certainly charming, in a frequently vulgar sort of way, and well performed by the cast and guest stars. Aug 4, 2017 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Hijinks happen in irreverent comedy's mysterious cabin. Rated: 4/5 Aug 1, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Rivkah F This show is witty, charming, and it bites in all the right places. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/12/23 Full Review Lisa B My boss tried to fire me over an application my team made. I could not see the bugs and had an ultimatum to find what I did wrong or lose my job, especially in these trying times. I got aware about Bluehackangels407@ Gmail com, from a friend who took their service for personal family reasons. I am glad I choose them. They resolved the issues in few hours and even improved it. I can not thank them enough. God bless you sir! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/23 Full Review Audience Member First off, watch it for the music at the start and end of each episode, they did a great job with that. The group 'HoneyHoney' did and amazing job of the music. The show was fun. It's in the My Name is Earl ballpark, of course, just a fun show. Each episode is unique with many running plot points. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Weird in the best possible way. A must watch for lovers of oddball storylines. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member My husband & i see both left in stiches after every episode!! I really hope they make more episodes Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The Guest Book is your typical cult classic TV show you either love it or you don't. Each episode is a different set of guests in the Cottage with the guest narrating their story as they write it. Each story is separate from the others however the reoccurring cast does have a continuing storyline. If you are the type of person who thinks seeing a Bear high on meth, a sweet old man turn racist and a middle aged man hitting on a young woman and trying to act like he is 20 is funny, this is the show for you.
