Mindy Lahiri is a successful, skilled doctor, but when she leaves the office, all bets are off. She aspires to become a more well-rounded woman, someone who is punctual, frugal and well-read instead of someone who is obsessed with romantic comedies and likely to give an inappropriate toast at a wedding. Despite stumbles, Mindy remains determined to get her personal and romantic life on track -- before her friends and colleagues are forced to stage an intervention -- and find her perfect happy ending.

Ariana Bacle Entertainment Weekly You might not want to necessarily be Mindy, but the show has made sure we at the very least appreciate her, that underneath her brashness and narcissism is confidence and intelligence and warmth. Dec 7, 2017 Full Review Emily Yahr Washington Post While clearly not perfect, an ending very much fit for a rom-com. Jessica S Mindy Kaling is a hilarious genius Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/23 Full Review Jessica M Great characters! Mindy did an amazing job representing her perspective!! I hate Dr. Castellano he always acts the victim and his misogynist character! When the footwork happened and he dips, changes the convo and makes it seem like it's Mindy's fault! Ughhh red flag but great sitcom lmao Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh boy...I'm going to miss this show so much!!! Mindy, Morgan, Tamra, Jeremy, Colette and the rest of the cast had us dying the whole time!!! The jokes are happening so fast and all the time! This last season had us crying and laughing and it was great. I loved having Danny back, but even when he's not there, the show carries on without any problems whatsoever! Thank you, Mindy Kaling for this masterpiece! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member So lazy in this last season. Why would they have her get married and then immediately divorced again? It's like there was no grand plan in this season - they were just winging it episode by episode. She seems less fun now and is just sad and pathetic. And I really hate the plastic surgery that she got done recently. It wasn't necessary and it was poorly done - her lips are uneven. This show used to be great. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I wish I'd not bothered to watch the final season. The show was so strong in the positive messages it set fourth about not getting wrapped up in the idea of romance so deep that you give up the things that are important to you as an individual person to make it work with someone. It was funny, it was clever, and it promised us a female lead that would start weak/ lost and end on a passionate note about breaking away from traditional roles. I'd have kept all my positive thoughts on this show had I just not watched the last season. Season 6 demolishes everything it spent years setting up. Possibly the worst TV show ending I've ever seen. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm not going to sit and say that this is the best season Mindy has done, but so far it's been pretty well done. Sure it is slightly predictable, but at the same time Mindy has always made her intentions for these characters clear and so she has found a way to get them there. What is really making the show this year is the characters outside of Mindy herself. Morgan Tamra, Jeremy (and Anna), heck even Colette have had storylines that are interesting (again predictable) and very well acted. Since season 4 Mindy has been more on the serious side, but this season is definitely bringing the funny back. We only have a few episodes left before goodbye :( but I look forward to each and everyone, and seeing how this story wraps up. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
