      Season 7 – The Office

      2010 Comedy List
83% 24 Reviews Tomatometer 93% 500+ Ratings Audience Score This U.S. adaptation -- set at a paper company based in Scranton, Pa. -- has a similar documentary style to that of the Ricky Gervais-led British original. It features the Dunder-Mifflin staff, which includes characters based on roles in the British show -- and, quite possibly, people with whom you work in your office. There's Jim, the likable employee who's a bit of an every man. Jim has a thing for receptionist-turned-sales-rep Pam -- because office romances are always a good idea! There's also Dwight, the co-worker who is successful but devoid of social skills and common sense. Read More Read Less Watch on Peacock Stream Now

While it struggles to answer how Dunder Mifflin will continue to thrive without Steve Carell's terrific performance, The Office sends off his Michael Scott in heartfelt fashion.

Max W Season 7 bids a sincere and fitting farewell to the character that played a pivotal role in shaping The Office. This goodbye is not just a tribute to Steve Carell but also a poignant moment for Michael Scott, handled in a manner that is true to the character and the actor. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Spencer P Michael Scott's tenure as manager of Scranton branch comes to a satisfying close, while everyone else shows signs of stirring up more issues of their own to continue the rest of the series. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/09/23 Full Review Randall D I love this show, but this is the last season I could even stand to watch and only half of the season I could do that. Yes, Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) did amazing work and deserves all the praise he has earned. This didn't go down hill just because he left though. Thr story gets boring and ridiculous. Nobody is a believable character anymore by the end of it and they mistook relatable obnoxiousness, which was entertaining, with trying to make the audience uncomfortable, which sucks. Seasons 8 and 9 are completely unwatchable to me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/28/23 Full Review Wyatt G It tries, and it succeeds only sometimes to keep the show alive without Steve Carell. Unfortunately it does not live up to the previous seasons. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/23 Full Review Claudiu I No episode without laughters seems to be the recipe. Every episode I wonder what they will invent this time. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/21/22 Full Review NICHOLAS P STOP watching this show after ¨Goodbye Michael.¨ That is the proper ending to the series. Do not waste your time and watch the rest of season 7, season 8, and season 9. The first 22 episodes are good. Threat Level midnight, Classy Christmas, China, and The Search are all great episodes. Goodbye Michael is one of my favorites in the series, and the show should´ve ended after that episode. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/14/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Eric Deggans NPR It takes a lot of smarts and talent to play the perfect doofus -- which means Steve Carell just might be the most intelligent guy in Hollywood. Feb 25, 2020 Full Review Linda Holmes NPR There were great moments, particularly in Michael's relationship with his girlfriend Holly and in his colleagues' rallying to say goodbye, but there were a lot of bad moments, too. A guest arc from Will Ferrell was both distracting and limply written. Feb 25, 2020 Full Review Nina Shen Rastogi Slate Zippy and fun and packed with quotable punchlines. Feb 25, 2020 Full Review Bonnie Stiernberg Paste Magazine The Office is at its best when it has one foot planted in reality and the other drifting off into the absurd. Rated: 8.6/10 Feb 24, 2020 Full Review Cindy White IGN Movies We've seen signs that the show can go on without Michael, but not if those behind the scenes ruin it by overcompensating with stunt casting gone wild. Rated: 6.5/10 Feb 24, 2020 Full Review Ethan Anderton Collider Sadly, this season proved to be one of the weakest... However, the seventh season of The Office still contains some truly great episodes, genuinely touching moments, and one marathon of a fantastic performance from Steve Carell.
