67% 6 Reviews Tomatometer 91% 100+ Ratings Audience Score This long-running animated comedy focuses on the eponymous family in the town of Springfield in an unnamed U.S. state. The head of the Simpson family, Homer, is not a typical family man. A nuclear-plant employee, he does his best to lead his family but often finds that they are leading him. The family includes loving, blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa and baby Maggie. Other Springfield residents include the family's religious neighbor, Ned Flanders, family physician Dr. Hibbert, Moe the bartender and police chief Clancy Wiggum. Kool Good simpsons season Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/24 Full Review Teddy B The season that subtly yanked 'The Simpsons' from its prime with a string of uneven episodes and a newfound and unfortunate love for absolutely zero continuity. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/05/23 Full Review Jackson S I think the Simpsons decline starts in the 11th, but there is still fun to be had! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review johnathon w A fun but uneven season, that while has a classic or two ("Homer Vs. New York") is a standout, you can tell the quality is dipping (the clip show "All Singing, All Dancing" is a prime example). Still a fun watch, but not the superior quality of the previous seasons. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review j m Forget about the unfortunate 2nd episode and it's still iconic and humorous. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member If you want to pin-point a season when the Simpsons lost their way and started their decline, it is season 9. If you want to pin-point a specific episode, it's S09E02, "The Principal and the Pauper". Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
