      Season 13 – The Simpsons

      2001 Comedy Animation List
86% 7 Reviews Tomatometer 81% 100+ Ratings Audience Score This long-running animated comedy focuses on the eponymous family in the town of Springfield in an unnamed U.S. state. The head of the Simpson family, Homer, is not a typical family man. A nuclear-plant employee, he does his best to lead his family but often finds that they are leading him. The family includes loving, blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa and baby Maggie. Other Springfield residents include the family's religious neighbor, Ned Flanders, family physician Dr. Hibbert, Moe the bartender and police chief Clancy Wiggum. Jeffrey M The Simpsons Season 13 is an okay season. This is my second least favorite Simpsons Season ( I have only watched 14 Seasons ). Now at this part of the Simpsons the Treehouse of Horror Halloween special have become worse and not as good as they used to be. My favorite episode is I Am Furious ( Yellow ), while the episode Tales of the Public Domain was pretty good. I give this season a 69%. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/10/23 Full Review Michael V This was the season that ended The Simpsons Golden Age for me. Season 12 was a mixed bag but Season 13 was just plain trash. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/27/23 Full Review Jackson S This is a fine season. I think its in the middle for all of the episodes Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review johnathon w Another solid season though not many standout episodes, such as the season finale "Papa's Got a Brand New Badge". Not a classic, but a lackluster "Simpsons" season is better than most TV. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A a lot of not so memorable episodes, 2 bad ones and only a couple really funny ones. Made it the first season where I couldn't justify the 5 stars anymore. Emma Johnstone Empire Magazine Naysayers insist that The Simpsons had passed its peak by season 13, but hit play on these 22 episodes and you'll see it's still one of the wittiest shows on US TV. Rated: 4/5 Nov 16, 2017 Full Review Adam Rayner What Culture Season thirteen represents a time when the show was clinging to the classic humour that was derived from situations that were routed in a reality... while slowly descending into the surreal and farcical... Jun 15, 2018 Full Review Joe Reid Decider And while the law of diminishing returns that has effected The Simpsons as a whole has also done the same to its annual Halloween parodies, the 2001 entry in the series was a high point. Jun 13, 2018 Full Review R.L. Shaffer IGN Movies Even at its worst, The Simpsons is still really quite awesome. While many of the gags feel a touch stale, the characters are still lovable, and the love, admiration and time the creators put into the material is noticeable Rated: 7/10 May 10, 2018 Full Review Kyle Lemmon Under the Radar Despite its failings, the Matt Groening-created animated sitcom is still one of the best shows on. Rated: 6/10 May 10, 2018 Full Review Andre Dellamorte Collider Season 13 is solid, but nowhere near the show at its best. Nov 15, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
