      2016 Comedy Animation List
Reviews 64% 50+ Ratings Audience Score This long-running animated comedy focuses on the eponymous family in the town of Springfield in an unnamed U.S. state. The head of the Simpson family, Homer, is not a typical family man. A nuclear-plant employee, he does his best to lead his family but often finds that they are leading him. The family includes loving, blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa and baby Maggie. Other Springfield residents include the family's religious neighbor, Ned Flanders, family physician Dr. Hibbert, Moe the bartender and police chief Clancy Wiggum. johnathon w Another solid season that while entertaining though not outstanding. Still spinning its wheels but a fun watch, regardless. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Pure garbage the only thing Simpsons about this series now is the art work. Not one good episode. It's just pure pop culture rehash all season. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This is just awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm such a big fan I like it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Man what a crazy series Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe two quality episodes. The writing just isn't that funny. During many of the episodes I barely crack a smile. The jokes are lazy and not very relatable. The Simpson used to voice all the hilarious thoughts average Americans could not articulate. Like most things, they've lost touch. Seems like the episodes are written by theater majors abiding by theories of comedy, afraid to take risks. Sad. The brilliance of the first 15 seasons couldn't last forever, though. Dennis Perkins AV Club At its best, The Simpsons is a much better cartoon than this. Rated: C Sep 26, 2016 Full Review Tony Sokol Den of Geek "Monty Burns Fleeing Circus" is worth watching. It's worth watching twice, if only to get the taste of last season off your eyeballs. Rated: 4/5 Sep 28, 2016 Full Review Kevin Yeoman Screen Rant Sure, The Simpsons is a cartoon that can bend the rules any time it wants, but if it throws all the rules out the window there's nothing of substance to attach any humor to and the show just becomes Family Guy. Sep 26, 2016 Full Review Jesse Schedeen IGN Movies The Simpsons was far from in top form as it kicked off its 28th Season this week. Rated: 4.8/10 Sep 26, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews
