John Leonard New York Magazine/Vulture ... there isn't is a compelling reason to spend any more time among wiseguys with a chemical dependency on olive oil, roadkill, and Frank Sinatra. Jan 26, 2018 Full Review William Thomas Empire Magazine A not-unintentional legacy of The Sopranos' refusal to signpost is a sense of dread that never once lifts. Rated: 5/5 Oct 18, 2017 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Worthy of most accolades showered upon it (which is saying something), the long layoff between seasons hasn't dimmed the show's status as one of TV's gems - a family drama like no other, imitated but unlikely to be equaled. Aug 18, 2014 Full Review Victor Pineyro Seventh Art Studio Buscemi is a breath of fresh air. In season 5 Sopranos is no longer about family, and the fall of the mafia becomes threatening. This story is an absolute tragedy. Masterpiece. Rated: 10/10 Oct 22, 2021 Full Review Guillem Martinez Oya Cinematismo A look at a mistifing figure of a gangster in the contemporary times. A necessary look to ourselves. Thomas Alonzo C 10 de 10 obra maestra Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/29/24 Full Review Priyan B Best season of the series Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Regal R 85/100 - season 5 actually picks up compared to season 4. im glad to see a show get better rather than fall off, which is hard to do with shows that last for more than a few seasons. the introduction and development of some new characters definitely helps drive the story. well written. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review Markus S Only the best TV series keep getting better and better, and when I watched all 13 episodes from this 5th season, I finally started to think "I'm gonna truly miss this TV show"... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Benjamin H Packed with tension and very emotionally powerful, The Sopranos penultimate season is a visceral, deeply riveting and airtight season of television that hurdles towards the series concluson with the same top-tier writing, direction and character development (and acting) that has made it a timeless and must-watch show. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/07/24 Full Review bootsdad13 U This used to be my least favorite season, but now it could be my favorite or second favorite. The rankings change all the time, as I rewatch. It's just the greatest scripted fictional show ever. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
