A look at the lives of four vampires who've lived together for hundreds of years on Staten Island. The self-appointed leader of the group is Nandor the Relentless, a warrior and conqueror from the Ottoman Empire. Then there's the British vampire Laszlo -- a bit of a rogue and a dandy and a fop, he might say. He's a lover of mischief and a soirée, but not as much as he loves seeing Nandor fail in every attempt. And then there's Nadja: the seductress, the temptress, the vampiric Bonnie to Laszlo's Clyde. Also cohabiting in the vampire household is Guillermo, Nandor's familiar; Colin Robinson, an energy vampire and day-walker of sorts -- he feasts on humans, but not on their blood.

James Jackson Times (UK) Yet it seems this is a show that can get away with being brought back to life over and over, like Nosferatu at midnight, simply for revelling so gleefully in its pallid skin. Rated: 4/5 Jan 3, 2024 Full Review Richard Ferguson The Australian What We Do in the Shadows is back for its fifth season on Binge and proves once again why it’s the most underrated comedy on television. Aug 15, 2023 Full Review Rendy Jones RogerEbert.com "WWDITS'” returns to its primary roots with episodic raunchy, supernatural kookiness. Aug 4, 2023 Full Review Allyson Johnson But Why Tho? A Geek Community After a relatively lackluster Season 4, What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 is a welcome return to form, delivering some of the funniest episodes of the series to date. Rated: 8/10 Sep 7, 2023 Full Review Valerie Ettenhofer Film School Rejects Five seasons in, the FX vampire comedy isn’t the sharpest it’s ever been, but it’s still worth a watch thanks to its always-stellar cast. Aug 8, 2023 Full Review Tony Sokol Den of Geek Based on the first four episodes, What We Do in the Shadows season 5 appears to be doing what it does best: finding the awkward moments that unites vampires and humanity with casual disregard for deeper meaning. Gareth v One of the finest comedies of it's generation. Season 5 shows no signs of slowing down and it remains one of the best shows on TV. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/01/25 Full Review lord b so sad they did not continue such endless possibilities! they will be so bored doing other stuff lol this show is a gem Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/25 Full Review Craig B Absolutely fantastic tv show. It took the intriguing premise from the inferior movie and really developed the brilliant characters (of course, you can do this with 6 series more so than just the one movie). The whole cast are wonderful, with each character getting their time to shine in the spotlight. Witty and memorable stories with well thought out (and at times absolutely bonkers!) set pieces and character interactions. If you didn't go much on the original movie, it's worth giving this a go... you may be pleasantly surprised. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Esra Y This season delivered some fantastic episodes in typical wwdits fashion. I wish some major events from last season would've been addressed bw characters. Writers of this show really like playing it safe, never changing dynamics or repeating jokes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/31/24 Full Review dave d WWDITS always leaves me laughing and wanting more. Kudos! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review J B I loved, as in LOVED, this show. Absolutely one of the best. However this season totally fell flat to the point I stopped watching it midseason. Every scene was mind numbing drivel, no point whatsoever, didn't progress the story at all and, worst of all, it wasn't funny. Previous season were filled with one liners that were spot on but this was more slapstick and goofy juvenile theater. Really sad because it was fantastic, so classic but it definitely jumped off a cliff. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/30/24 Full Review Read all reviews
