I really enjoyed this show! Lucy Liu’s performance was brilliant and it was interesting to watch the 3 lives of women as it intertwines and unfolds. Must watch! I’m up to season 2 now and let’s see what it’s going to be about.

The first few episodes were very interesting. Well acted and catching your attention. Mid season it started to go a little south but overall a good show to watch. I feel Lucy Lou's character carried the whole thing.

I watched Why Women Kill in 2022 and just watched it again in 2024. It wasn't the best series, but worth watching. The hardest part for me was the bad acting by Reid Scott and Alexandra Daddario, both to the point of being distracting. They were in many scenes together which made it worse, but screen time was usually shared with Kirby Howell-Baptiste who was so good she made the others tolerable. Lucy Liu was great playing a rich, snobby, entitled diva and the storyline with her and her on-screen husband was weird, but endearing near the middle and end.
The first time I watched season 1, I had to rewind quite a bit to understand the flow of frequently jumping back and forth with multiple plots, subplots, and timelines. However, the juxtapositions of widely varying family types in the same mansion--but each in different eras--was interesting. Season 2 was different.
In some ways I liked season 1 better, in some ways season 2. Season 2 centered around one main plot with fewer subplots. I've seen numerous bad reviews on actress Allison Tolman, who played the main character (Alma Fillcot), but I found her rather good. The character is an awkward, unattractive, uncultured housewife who dreams to be part of the upper class fashionista society women clique, but is generally looked down upon and made fun of. Tolman is very convincing with her klutzy naivete and facial expressions as she experiences longing, envy, cringe worthy excitedness, and hurt. B.K. Canon was effortless as her down-to-earth, dedicated daughter navigating scandalous relationships.
When season 1 dealt with death, it was never funny. Season 2 is more dark comedy, where death is sometimes serious, sometimes comedic. Season 2 is also less predictable with surprising twists. I'd watch a season 3 if they made one.
funny,. Season 2 is

Tiresome, cutesy, flat characters. I lasted two episodes and then said who cares? Can’t stand these people or their cliches. Who are these women? Who knows because it’s just a poorly written cartoon.

I loved this show! All phases of the production were well done -- from the sets, to the costume design, to the writing and acting. Lucy Liu was fun to watch, but Ginnifer Goodwin really stole the show for me. The characters were deliciously complex, and I thought the pace was perfect. The layers peeled back at just the right rate to keep me completely engaged and eager for the next episode. High drama, comedy, and suspense all rolled into one great show.
