"Yellowjackets" tells the narrative of a team of wildly talented high-school girls soccer players who survive a plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to warring, cannibalistic clans, while also tracking the lives they have attempted to piece back together. Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher and Sammi Hanratty star as the teenagers, while Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis portray their adult counterparts as they reveal the truth about their survival 25 years later.

This show is so silly. And poorly directed (jumping in time every 3 minutes). I'm pretty shocked at the high critic score. But not surprised at the low audience score. Recommend you skip.

I just want to say I’m horrified by the audience score. This is one of the most amazing shoes on television; so good, it rivals Squid Game, Wednesday… And I’m gonna go ahead and say it since this is anonymous: This show is up there for me with SATC, The Sopranos, GoT, and yes, even The Golden Girls. Had they cast differently, I may not be saying this. But let’s face it—can you REALLY say anything bad about Juliette Lewis?! Or what about Christina Ricci?! Both child stars, both have stayed out of the spotlight, and both are SENSATIONAL actors. Christina’s character is the absolute dream character, while Juliette’s is the yin to her yang. I haven’t even MENTIONED Melanie Lynskey (sp?) yet, who has been in the game for decades, and cleverly takes over as our main player—with ease and a bit of insanity. I don’t want to ramble, but the cast all have their 40 something versions vs their 16-17 year old versions of themselves. The casting of the teenagers, all (FTMP) unknowns, yet rivaling the seasoned acting of their 40 something counterparts. This show couldn’t get any better for me. It’s a full on 5 stars, and so is season 2. I can’t wait for season 3 and it’s going to be next Friday, so less than two weeks! Woohoo!!! Run, don’t walk!

Good season, pilot episode immediately hooked me but some of the season was filler. Really hoping it lives up to the payoff of the pilot episode, and that they don’t drag things out. Very entertaining season of television overall.
