"Yellowjackets" tells the narrative of a team of wildly talented high-school girls soccer players who survive a plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to warring, cannibalistic clans, while also tracking the lives they have attempted to piece back together. Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher and Sammi Hanratty star as the teenagers, while Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis portray their adult counterparts as they reveal the truth about their survival 25 years later.

Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) An uncanny mix of implacable horror, conspiracy-laded mystery, and barbed character comedy. It’s as adept at making you scream with fear as scream with laughter, then it lets you question what really divides the two. Feb 7, 2022 Full Review James Dyer Empire Magazine Gruesome, gripping and blackly comic, this tightly-plotted mystery-horror is meaty in all the right (and wrong) ways. Rated: 4/5 Jan 21, 2022 Full Review Shirley Li The Atlantic In this stew of hormones, gore, and mordant farce, the series captures the way that growing out of girlhood is an inherently brutal and absurd process. Jan 19, 2022 Full Review Ian Bunting Daily Record (UK) I’ve made it sound very dark and while it is, there is also camaraderie, friendship, characters you really want to root for and moments of hilarity. Sep 21, 2023 Full Review Jennifer Bisset CNET Pay whatever you must to watch Yellowjackets. Mar 30, 2023 Full Review Alan French Sunshine State Cineplex The large ensemble could have caused actresses to get lost in the process. However, one of the incredible things about Yellowjackets comes from the balance Lyle, Nickerson, and Lisco achieve. Rated: 9/10 Mar 22, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Mason M I mainly started watching Yellowjackets because I was a huge fan of Sophie Thatcher in Heretic and Companion, so naturally, I wanted to see the other thing she was in. But Yellowjackets really is one of the best things to be put out on television in recent years. It's scatterbrained and all over the place and incredibly self indulgent and I love it. I was hooked on this show from the pilot, which was one of the most entertaining and genuinely impressive television pilots I've ever seen. This season's craftsmanship is just incredible. The filmmaking is a treat to watch, the writing is always riveting due to complex situations and incredibly written characters, and the cast really shines through with some of the best performances I've seen in quite a while. The writing is just incredible how they're able to weave so many characters together yet also keep all the characters dense yet also keep many of the plotlines still very intricate and complex. And Misty may be one of my new favorite characters in everything ever, her character was so entertaining every time she came on screen and was brilliantly brought to life by Christina Ricci. I can't deny that much of the thrill of the show is seeing a bunch of hot young women out in the woods, but I swear the filmmaking and artistry of the show is why it's good! But more than all of that, Yellowjackets is just so, so delightful to watch. It's an extremely effective thriller, but also just as effective as a comedy. I was never bored once during this season, I cared for all the characters and everything that was happening to them, and it's just so fun to watch. If you can't tell already, I was blown away by this show. It's not technically perfect but no good art is. This season of Yellowjackets should be the bar all modern television should be held to, riveting, complex, hilarious, human, and so much more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/18/25 Full Review Zack K A teenage girl killing an 800 pound grizzly bear with a knife. That did it for me. Laughable. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/31/25 Full Review M L Basic plot, mid level of acting, twists aren't that shocking but overall enjoyable. Some characters aren't very consistent in my opinion, and the writers expect you to just accept things without question "because it's a show" SPOILERS: the whole mud eating and tree sitting makes no sense when any actual thought goes into it. The wolf attack is a complete joke, like they would ever survive, they just all happen to wake up from sleep to wolves attacking and have sticks of fire ready to fend them off, there was no fire burning while they were asleep. There's just a few things that aren't possible but you are expected to not question it. Overall it's okay, but not what hype built it up to be, especially what "critics" have to say. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/12/25 Full Review vineet p Plane crashed, they stuck in jungle,I am all for it.But when they started eating humans,I stopped watching show.I mean there were trees and stuff, they could have survived on that,so illogically weird show. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review LAUREN G. One of the best Tv shows of all time. It has everything Millennials want - the 90s and its music, cannibalism and lesbians. You will want more and more after every single episode. This show can make you feel mad, sad, hateful, rage, sensitive, scared, adventurous, and raw.
