For young Sheldon Cooper, it isn't easy growing up in East Texas. Being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn't always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naive Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. His father, George, is struggling to find his way as a high school football coach and as father to a boy he doesn't understand. Sheldon's mother, Mary, fiercely protects and nurtures her son. For 12 years on "The Big Bang Theory," audiences came to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. In "Young Sheldon," audiences get a chance to meet him in childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become. Jim Parsons, who plays the adult version of Sheldon on "The Big Bang Theory," narrates.

Esteban C wow! this one is a banger as well! pretty much ate it all in less than a week and it was oh so worth it. we go deeper into sheldon’s life and personality, but we also adventure into the whole family, its dynamics and their lives as well. i loved how this season there was a more vulnerable side of sheldon showcased, but at the same time how he’s growing into the character we all know and love from tbbt! sheldon cooper, no one could ever make me hate you <3 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/09/25 Full Review Naqeeb G S1 was great. S2, i'mma watch it now Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/17/24 Full Review Eva B Still a nice fun comedy. I liked the fact that we got to see more for the rest of the characters. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review Nick S I enjoy it a lot, its still funny and at moments deep. Good sitcom, much better still than the original show. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Young Sheldon Lover68 B OH MY GOODNESS AND I THOUGHT SEASON 1 WAS GOOD! goodness gracious me what a rollercoaster of emotions and laughs! When Young Sheldon was in the studio with pop smoke (rest in piece pop smoke) helping him write his hit song dior I lost it, the chemistry between the 2 of them was off the charts! Whenever they all spoke it was nothing but giggles and laughs and oh boy missy was so goofy! the show only gets better and better with every new episode and George Cooper is probably one of the best characters ever 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/27/24 Full Review SkyRo P Honestly, this show is absolutely phenomenal! The first season is a total blast—it's filled with humor and keeps you hooked from start to finish. Each subsequent season just keeps elevating the experience, showcasing the characters' development and growth, which makes it impossible to look away and leaves you eager for what’s next. The parents are fantastic; they have a great comedic chemistry, although I have mixed feelings about Mary’s religious beliefs. Nevertheless, it fits well within the context of the show. Sheldon is hilarious, and Missy's wild personality adds to the fun, but Georgie truly steals the spotlight. He’s outrageously funny, and honestly, the standout character of the series is Grandma. She consistently brings humor and stability, and you could easily watch an entire show centered around her—it would be a hit! I wholeheartedly recommend binge-watching this series; it’s worth every minute. The first season does a great job establishing the characters and allowing viewers to connect with them as they evolve, with Sheldon emerging as the focal point of the franchise. As you dive into the second and third seasons, you’ll find more emphasis on the growth of the mom, dad, and the fantastic Grandma Annie. As the series progresses, you develop a genuine affection for Georgie. From the start, you’re drawn to him, but as the show unfolds, he becomes increasingly compelling. It’s interesting to see how, despite the title "Young Sheldon," Georgie ends up being the favorite character, which is why he got his own spin-off, "Georgie and Mandy." They wrapped up the series beautifully; I believe extending it further would have risked dragging it out unnecessarily. It’s refreshing to see Georgie’s story continue, as he’s the character fans were eager to follow by the end. I don’t mean to be harsh, but Sheldon’s character started to feel a bit stale after a while. There’s only so much you can do with him before it becomes repetitive. He served his purpose in building the show, but now he feels less essential, while Georgie's storyline is where the excitement lies. When Montana Jordan chose to keep portraying Georgie, he didn’t just reignite fan enthusiasm; he captivated a wider audience with his character.
