Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge
Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge proved himself one of the most prolific and versatile actors in his native Canada by appearing in almost all genres of film and television. The future star was born on Feb. 28, 1976 in Québec, Canada. Lemay-Thivierge launched his acting career on television with the musical series "Épopée rock" (Télé-Métropole, 1984-1990), followed by featured roles on the sitcom "Manon" (Société Radio-Canada, 1985-86) and in Canadian films such as "Wild Thing" (1987), "The Comic Book Christmas Caper" (1990), and "La Florida" (1993). As his career took off, Lemay-Thivierge continued to split his time between film and TV projects like the series "Avoir su " (TVA, 2001) and the crime drama "Le négociateur" (TVA, 2005). In 2007, Lemay-Thivierge landed his breakthrough role in the blockbuster "Nitro," as a former drag racer who is forced to return to a life of crime to save his ailing girlfriend (Myriam Tallard). That same year, he also starred in "Les 3 p'tits cochons," a comedy about two brothers discussing the pros and cons of adultery while they wait for their mother to come out of a coma. While he enjoyed a successful film career, Lemay-Thivierge never left his TV roots behind, most memorably as a paraplegic lawyer defending a fictional Québec ice hockey player on "Lance et compte: Le grand duel" (TVA, 2008). In 2010, he starred in the comedy "Filière 13" and the horror flick "Le poil de la bête," proving the actor was capable of excelling in both diverse genres and mediums.
