      Highest Rated: 92% Election (1999)

      Birthday: Oct 30, 1982

      Birthplace: Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jessica Campbell landed her first acting role at the relatively young age of 10. It was on the 1992 made-for-TV movie, "In the Best Interest of the Children," that she played the role of young Julie Cain, a pre-teenage girl whose embittered parents are fighting over custody of her and her four siblings. It would be seven years until Campbell landed another role in either film or television, although her role as the cynical Tammy Metzler in 1999's "Election," would prove to be her most lasting. The film earned almost unanimous praise and was even honored with an Academy Award nomination for writing by the film's co-screenwriter, and director, Alexander Payne. Campbell's next role would come the following year when she starred in two episodes of Judd Apatow's widely regarded high school comedy, "Freaks and Geeks." Although the show was cancelled after a single season, the following year Campbell landed a role opposite Glenn Close and Kristen Stewart in the 2001 family drama, "The Safety of Objects." Campbell only acted in two more films, 2002's "Junk " and the straight-to-video comedy, "Dad's Day," before retiring from acting indefinitely in 2002 to focus on her schoolwork. She has since gone to college to study anthropology.
