Audience Member Not exactly terrifying, but the director uses the environment to really capture an uneasy feel throughout the film at a fairly good pace. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Thriller has an uncaring husband being tricked into believing his deceased wife is haunting him in the days leading up to her requested will reading on their anniversary. Won't quite bore you to death but plods along at a relatively slow pace and seems more dated than its 1979 release date. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A man slowly drives his wife insane and to her suicide, only to be haunted by her presence afterward. British film is a real plodder and relies heavily on old cliches that render this ineffective, especially by today's standards. Newly hired chauffeur's responsibilities are quickly expanded to include exhuming graves--in hindsight, a red flag may have been seen when this did not prompt him to ask the agency for another assignment. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The copy of this that I had was scratchy and very dark, but it still delivered some wonderful chills. The writing could have been better, but it was handled very well by the capable cast. The film's main flaw is its ending, which comes out of nowhere and wraps things up far too rapidly and easily. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A young woman apparently hangs herself, but, of course, there's more to it than that. It seems that her husband drove her to the deed. She appears to come back from the dead as a zombie to avenge herself. But, as well all know, appearances can be deceiving Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Dominique is Dead is unfocused. Not only camera, but in keeping the viewing awake, snore. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
