Audience Member It was mediocre to say the least, had some terrible plot problems, was really low budget, but there is something about its Parisian atmosphere that won me over. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Perhaps small budget (just like every other LGBT film), wretched production with some kinda terrible acting, writing (story), sound & music especially. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member The chemistry of this movie works well. Not a lot of action, mainly drama and simple dialogue. But it's more a nice relaxing romance movie that doesn't end with a dead gay man or someone dying. It's cute and ends that way. Kevin Miranda being in the show of course makes the best eye candy a gay can rent. He's very sexy and uses it well as he quickly falls in love and stills the heart of Claude. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Bad Boy Street: mediocre film, quite mediocre. Low budget, a slice-of-life type story without a real plot. It had plot potential but didn't live up to it. Actor has affair in France with a man and then flees when someone recognizes him. Obligatory woman-in-love-with-gay-man appears throughout. A one point the actor's manager appears with demands that the Frenchman sign a confidentiality agreement. His acting ability is so poor, his demeanor so unfitting the role, I immediately assumed he was the writer/director/producer etc who cast himself poorly-as they usually do. Checking the credits that proves to be the case. In general I assume that anytime a film has one person in the dual roles of a writer/producer/director and has an acting part, that we are headed for a disaster. This wasn't a total disaster but close enough. Of course, the actor, is terrified he will lose his role due a "morals clause" in the contract. Apparently this is 1960, even though it looks like today. And, he's so worried about the morals clause that in the opening he meets the Frenchman because he is passed out drunk/drugged out lying in the streets and the man takes him home, cleans him up and puts him to bed. Passing out drugged/drunk is NOT a morals issue but being gay is. The dialogue is generally uninteresting, the acting is fair, and the story fails to fly at any point. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting premise that works well. A story of a brief affair between 2 men on a similar vein to the film Weekend. What starts out as a one night stand, turns into something more extended. The two male leads work well and have a great chemistry. Claude's neighbour and friend Catherine is a great addition throwing some outsider balance into the story. Not convinced on the ending and I thought they could have done better with the premiere. Just don't bother showing the film clip. Their reaction would have worked better. It just came across as the writer/director's bitterness towards Hollywood movies. Still though, it is worth a watch.
