Audience Member Invisible light force walls, mystic glyphs that prevent guns, and "gods" that inhabit human shells. All you really have is an abandoned warehouse, an underground cavern, weak martial arts and a fantasy story. Unfortunately, the story is so amorphous and unrefined that it does not support the movie or provide any sense of amazement. Even the explanation of the existence and function of the black site is minimal and distracting in its absence. Feels like a half finished concept put on film. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Typical low budget movie that is best watched as a trailer only. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review alfonso w There was some potential but that potential quickly dissipated. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member No story, the acting and dialogue are terrible, there is no emotion, no suspense, pretty much nothing at all. Just the worst. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member wasn't bad, a fun popcorn movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review drew g Probably the worst trailer I have ever seen. If that's any indication of the quality of this movie, then it is a complete and utter disaster knocking off aspects of Stranger Things. Andrew Gaudion THN It is a shame the writing and overall execution isn't quite as thought out as the details of its world, but there is no denying that there is a glint of old school charm that keeps this an entertaining experience. Rated: 2/5 Aug 28, 2020 Full Review Sarah Musnicky Nightmarish Conjurings BLACK SITE is a film that seeks to pay homage to the science fiction films of the '80s while injecting it with Lovecraftian flavor. Rated: 8/10 Jun 22, 2020 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror In spite of a decent premise, Black Site is a tonal mish-mash of try-hard action beats, wannabe police procedural sequences devoid of any tension, and precisely zero stakes. Rated: 2/10 Sep 26, 2019 Full Review James Perkins Starburst The overarching story and powerful performance from Schnitzler in the lead role managed to keep the film afloat and a rather gripping and fresh entry in the Sci-Fi genre. Rated: 7/10 May 31, 2019 Full Review Chauncey K. Robinson The Twisted Girl Next Door A movie that takes a chance by trying to create its own mythos, for a fresh take on sci-fi horror. It does well in meshing the genres with likable characters and an interesting plot. May 24, 2019 Full Review Bobby LePire Film Threat Paton is a fantastic visual stylish with a flair for action, but despite the efforts of a talented cast, the characters have little depth and spend so much expositing about this world that nothing happens for a while.
