Audience Member This educational documentary is extremely eye opening to the abuse and neglect that PETA workers see when they go out in the field every single day. I'm so grateful for their work and dedication to showing these animals some compassion. I highly recommend this film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This documentary was a roller coaster of emotions, and I was in tears for most of it. It is devastating, enlightening, hopeful, heartbreaking and happy all at the same time. Like seeing humans living in extreme poverty, the harsh reality of how so many companion animals live will be shocking to those who haven't witnessed it firsthand, but the compassion shown by PETA's fieldworkers for these animals and their guardians will restore your faith in humanity. I highly recommend this film to anyone even tangentially interested in animals and their lives. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review desmond b It's easy to feel despondent or even despairing about human greed and selfishness and stupidity that we witness on the news every day. Then you see these young, energetic, well-informed heroes from PETA's Community Animal Project (CAP), going out every day (and often every night) to be faced with the most horrendous abuse or neglect, and yet remaining determined to bring whatever comfort, joy and justice they can to suffering dogs, cats and other animals. Seeing them do such a gruelling job, while still retaining their professionalism and even their smiles, restores my faith that there is good in people. If they can live in hope, we all can. One quote from the video stayed with me: "The people who criticise us are not the people whom we help". Certainly the dogs chained up in yards who are, for the first time, given some shelter from the elements, warm straw to snuggle in, and a kind word and a hug from a PETA CAP worker, would agree. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I girded myself to watch this film because I was aware of PETA's work with backyard dogs and was familiar with the neglect and deprivation these dogs suffer. I expected the film to be painful--and it was in parts, but it was also heartwarming with stories of rescue and transformation. PETA's fieldworkers who are profiled in the film are absolute heroes and I'm grateful to them for their work. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member So eye-opening. Anyone who cares about animals at all should watch this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This documentary truly is a MUST SEE. So many people don't realize how commonly dogs are still chained, neglected, and treated like lawn ornaments, as opposed to family members, which is what all dogs deserve. I am so grateful to PETA's Community Animal Project for going above and beyond for animals who desperately need them. It was incredible to be able to "tag along" with them through this film - definitely don't miss it!!! 🐶 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
