Audience Member Douglas "Dawg" Munford (Denis Leary) is the ultimate womanizer: he is selfish, rude and totally uncaring about what a woman thinks after they have sex. He arrives too late for his grandmother's funeral, but finds that she has left him a million dollars, subject to one condition. As explained by estate executor Anna Lockhart (Elizabeth Hurley), Douglas must contact at least a dozen of the scores of women he has seduced and left during his lifetime and beg for their forgiveness. Reluctantly, Dawg sets out on his odyssey which takes him, and the lawyer, to venues throughout California... This drama/comedy is just poor in so many ways to be honest. Poor script, poor dialogue and poor acting. However, I do like both Denis Leary and Elizabeth Hurley, but this is hardly on their best work list. No need to see this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I like Leary and Hurley enough to forgive most of Dawg's contrived moments. Yes it's brainless, but Dawg has the tiniest bit of bite. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Frances H Not a movie I can recommend. i normally like Denis Leary, but this movie was not funny. For the first half of the film, the ex-girlfriends treated Dawg the same way that he had treated them--like a sex object. They were no better than he was. In the second half the movie becomes more interesting, but as a drama, not a comedy. The redeeming factor in this film is the message, which is a good one--sex should be a meaningful expression of mutual love and trust. Those who treat it as just a physically pleasurable act are going to miss out in the end. It is a message a much better movie, Alfie, starring Michael Caine, made a long time ago and made it more eloquently. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/13 Full Review Audience Member The movie had some funny scenes, but it's missing something. I did predict that ending. The acting is alright but dont seem to work fully for Denis Leary. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member aucune intrigue, aucune surprise, un scenario plutot lourd ...dommage d'avoir gache 2 bons acteurs la-dedans! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member don't get invested because the last ten minutes or so will disappoint the hell out of you Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
