Audience Member for what it is, i like the setting and im a fantasy swords and sorcery fan, so it was up my alley. the animation is outdated, but i still liked it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this movie. It was a favorite of mine as a kid, and even as an adult I can still enjoy it. (I do laugh at it and mock it for having less-that-brilliant writing, but that doesn't reduce my enjoyment of it.) It's not a GOOD movie by any means - you can see the villan coming from a mile away, but I was drawn in by the world they created on a budget, and by the fun supernatural powers. The two lead characters complimented each other well, all things considered, and honestly I've seen budget movies much more painful to watch than this one. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a beautifully scripted animation masterpiece. The soundtrack is a brilliant composition containing many melancholy pieces, which helps to carry the underlying message of anti-war in this conflict packed action adventure. The dazzling animation is fascinating and at times awe inspiring. One could watch this classic with the sound off and it would still be a great movie. The film is perfect for kids, but also has more than enough depth and complexity to keep adults enthralled. It takes the watcher down a morally ambiguous conflict filled world of strange people, dragons, krystals, goblins and wizards. Only a heart of stone could feel nothing at the climax of the movie, which neatly tidies up one of the most well taught out story lines I have seen in the dragon krystal wizard conflict genre. In short, if you have kids or you are a fan of great movies this is a must watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member "Full of fantasy, adventure, and heart. A delightful and imaginative animated movie inspired by the Mega Blocks toy franchise." Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked it as a kid, thinking back I remember a plot that was loose and could have been better, and action that was fun and understandable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A for effort, C- for execution. Surprisingly dull action sequences. Bonus points for a different visual take on dragons though.
