Hirak The best movie ever made by S S Rajamouli. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/26/24 Full Review Tobias D This is unlike other Rajamouli films where this is more of a comedy but still amazingly good and funny Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/23/23 Full Review Kanetsidohi K This movie is different from any other movie I've watched: It has a wild, farfetched, and completely original premise, and although we can root for the heroes to complete their task, whom carry the whole film is the charming, despictable villain which can portrays menace, desperation, and humor so effortlessly, it's amazing. Highly recommended Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I learnt about this movie when its trailer came out, and I really wanted to watch it. But my family is very conservative and they didn't allow me to go to the theatres to watch movies as a kid because they believed I will get spoilt easily. So when this movie came on TV and I was really excited to watch it, my friend told me to watch it as he had seen it on torrent and really liked it. He had threatened me to watch every scene, and I'm really glad I did. Although it's not the kind of a movie that you will take too seriously, Eega does manage to invoke you and enjoy the movie. The story of this movie is absolutely gripping. Jani (I hope I wrote the spelling correctly) is a guy who really likes a girl named Bindu, who is a micro artist. But a rich businessman Sudeep (played by Sudeep himself) also has his eyes on her, and so he decides to kill Jani. Jani gets reborn as a fly, who slowly remembers what happened to him. And so he decides to take revenge from Sudeep and constantly attacks him. But finally Sudeep takes his revenge from Jani, although it doesn't go as well as planned. The CGI of this movie is quite decent. Although it isn't on the same level as Baahubali for example (both the movies are made by SS Rajamouli, who could have guessed?), but it is way better than most Bollywood movies considering its low budget. Normally I'm not used to seeing something new in Tollywood films (not saying that in a bad way), so this movie was obviously a surprise for me. The comedy scenes are absolutely hilarious. Some violent parts are a little too graphic and that's what makes this look so cool. The actors can make you laugh, cry, angry - anything with just the acting. The only thing I didn't like about the movie is the CGI. Jani looks nothing like a fly. And his body proportions keep changing. In a song he is shown to lift an earbud as a weight. Tell me, how big is a fly compared to an earbud? Forget trying to lift it, a fly can't even scale it! Some of the dialogues were also too bad, but I'm gonna cut some slack since I watched it in Hindi. The songs were also a bit too bad especially the theme song, and in the credits scene where Jani is mimicking all the Bollywood actors is also very cringy. Eega is a kind of a movie you won't expect from an industry that doesn't make but rather manufactures films, and that's what makes it so unique. If it was a Hollywood movie I might have questioned its superiority. It is a movie you'd definitely want to watch with your whole family. It is so memorable that I watched it nine years ago and I still remember every single detail. I hadn't watched many movies back then so I'm not sure if you will also like it as much as I did. But I'd definitely say you should go for it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Eega is immense fun from the moment Nani dies.
