Audience Member Like your horror sparse, weird and gritty? Watch it. Horribly edited and could def have used some more monter action (that you could actually see) but very atmospheric and enjoyable. The story is really intriguing with an alien controlling the adults of a society; acting as their Angel. But angelic this alien isn't, as it infects and kills the adults, and turns them into plant like things. The children are preparing to rebel, and become The Fallen. Very interesting how the children are taught to not understand sex, and puberty, but can drive and have modern swear words. It is really an odd mix. Small tales like EXILE are refreshing in that the filmmakers are forced to fill the screen with ideas rather than fancy CG.
