Made by the French in Florida — because why not — Nightmare Weekend is all about that tale as old as time, a brilliant computer scientist whose super computer can transform the personalities of bad and disobedient people. He asks one of his friends to test it on a group of debauched young women, but before you can say direct to video, they're all mutants.
The professor also has a shut-in daughter named Jessica who discusses losing her virginity with her puppet George who makes most of the decisions in her life.
How Henri Sala got to Florida, why it was made and why I watched it are all beyond me. Life is a mystery and everyone must stand alone. Despite the Troma logo appearing, I soldiered on and kind of ended up enjoying myself.

What in the what did I just watch...?! It's incoherent, and borders on softcore, but there some fun to be had in the absurdity of it. It's a gloriously bad movie.

It's actually a really difficult movie to follow, but if I were to describe it to people, basically people are killed off by choking on balls. That's 100% what happens, but it would be really funny to see how people react to that plot synopsis and how disappointed they'd be when seeing this movie. The clothes, hair, and music are great, but there's a lack in blood and violence. The last 15 minutes pick it up, but it was a bit too late. There was a lack in cheesy dialogue, and while there are some "wtf?" things going on (like the random puppet), it was mostly a dull affair I expected a bit more from. The quality of the blu-ray looks fantastic though. Not the worst thing I've seen, but not that memorable either.

Even though this film isn't well known, it should be! It's easily one of the worst, yet most hilarious, horror films of the 80s!
The evil, ball-busting female assistant of a famous scientist lures three incredibly dumb college girls to a mansion for behavior modification experiments. Meanwhile, at the local bar, people drink and dance to terrible 80s rock music. One punk has sex with a girl on pinball table in front of a crowd of people, then tries to rape the scientist's virginal daughter, who is in love with another biker, who, in turn, is in cohorts with the assistant (!!!) Back at the house, the sorority bimbos keep finding reasons to get naked - swimming, showering, changing clothes and having sex with men from the bar. A small silver ball (part of the experiment) flies into victims mouths and turns them into drooling, zombie-like killers. If that's not enough to entertain you, there's also a hilarious theme song ("Nightmare Fantasy"), roller skating, gratuitous nudity and a psychic hand puppet (!?) that warns "DANGER! DANGER!" just like the LOST IN SPACE robot and recommends hitchhiking as one of the best ways to pick up men (??)
