Audience Member Its a great movie to talk through, even if we were paying attention it still wouldn't have .are much sense. The one liners from random and non coherent conversations allowed for interesting conversations among my friend and I. Amazing camera work to whoever was using their I phone 4 to shoot this. I would've liked to see some sort of plot, but over all I enjoyed rooting for the killer by the end of the film! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member The Legend of Sorrow Creek has a good premise, and some decent spooky moments, but not enough to carry the film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member No-budget chiller shows flashes of understanding how to set up scares and familiar jolts (a ringing phone, a man materializing in front of headlights). Unfortunately those occasional moments are lost within slow pacing, a flat & confused backstory, and pathetic characters. In fact the lead dude is the wimpiest horror-movie protagonist in memory, start with that he's in his 20's with a pal and two women but is afraid to go outside to get in the car merely because an old qeezer in overalls is standing in the driveway. Since most of his time is spent clinging to his girlfriend and crying, pretty soon the audience wants him to get the chop. The nonexistent production values makes this look like a student film, and if it was I'd give it a 'B' grade. But its not so I don't. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Boring slow plot that doesn't make much scene. The characters are bland and there is a lot of bad camera angles and confusing moments. Poor execution leaves this film to dwindle. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member I like a lot of indie horror, they have a cool, original feel to them. Unfortunately, a lot of indie horror is ruined by the lack of a clear narrative (it doesn't have to be easy to follow the story, but you do have to have one to tell). This fell firmly into the confusing and poorly executed style. What story did you want to tell? It ended up just feeling confused and now I'm pissed I invested an hour for such a poor payoff. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member At the end of the 1800s, the entire town of Sorrow Creek disappeared. No one has lived there since, and those that venture into the woods are never heard from again. Rumor has it that the town rested on the exact spot where Satan was thrown from heaven. Sisters Jesse (Christina Caron) and Kayla (Freya Ravensbergen) have an old cabin near the town, and they go there with their respective boyfriends for a quiet weekend. But when they stumble upon the ruins of the old town, an ancient evil hunts them down to draw them into the curse that is Sorrow Creek. Usually I really hate these B-rated horror movies, but I was mildly entertained by this one, and I'm not exactly sure why. There wasn't much of a story, there were plotholes everywhere, and not a lot of it made sense, but I was enjoyed by it. Perhaps because it was only an hour and twelve minutes. That might do it.
