      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Wildflower benefits from its appealing ensemble cast, but their efforts aren't quite enough to distinguish this middling coming-of-age story.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Michelle M Based on a true story, I found it completely delightful. Jean Smart and Jacki Weaver are amazing as always. Kiernan Shipka as Bea is the best. She reminds me a bit of Emma Stone with her quick wit and believability. I will be looking for other projects she is a part of. The high school scenes and high school student interactions are a bit weak and corny. The best parts of when Bea is dealing with her family, immediate and extended, and her boyfriend, Charlie Plummer It is a well-cast movie and I'm happy with the story's outcome. Go, Bea!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/24 Full Review Scott P Just delightful. I highly recommend. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Danielle L So original and navigates some difficult terrain gently and thoughtfully. I really loved it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/23 Full Review Ruud T I liked it. Come and see it, it will not disappoint you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/29/23 Full Review Justin Q Great story, but definitely not a comedy. It is equal parts sweetness and anguish. Great cast! Noel Murray Los Angeles Times The characters in this film... too often feel like their dialogue and behavior has been cut-and-pasted from other quirky indie dramedies. Mar 25, 2023 Full Review William Bibbiani TheWrap A sweet yet straightforward coming of age drama. Mar 24, 2023 Full Review Christy Lemire RogerEbert.com A terrific cast can only do so much with superficial, maudlin material in the coming-of-age dramedy “Wildflower.” Rated: 2/4 Mar 24, 2023 Full Review Erick Estrada Cinegarage ... A warm, sincere, and, above all, intimate film.
