Jeff Jensen Entertainment Weekly American Crime wasn't fun, and it wasn't perfect, either, but it was richly rewarding all the same. I won't easily forget it, and I don't want to, either. Rated: A- Mar 10, 2016 Full Review Pilot Viruet AV Club American Crime excels even when -- especially when -- it's dark and hard to watch. Rated: B+ Jan 7, 2016 Full Review Sonia Saraiya Salon.com It carries a stronger sense of artful engagement with the viewer, through both direction and tone. Jan 7, 2016 Full Review Randy Dankievitch TV Over Mind It's certainly very heavy, dull material, but its relentless pursuit of examining the rampant social injustices of the modern world has a certainly nobility to it, even if American Crime greatly exaggerates that sense of importance. Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 11, 2020 Full Review Matthew Eng Tribeca Film Through its pointed cinematography, fluid editing, and deft manipulations of sound, American Crime achieves visual elegance and sonic engagement like no other network program before it. May 2, 2019 Full Review Natalia Marcos El Pais (Spain) American Crime is a rare work in the current television scene. [Full Review in Spanish] Jul 12, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member What a waste of potential. Rather than a story about a male rape victim and what it takes to get justice, this season is literally a tribute to the cliche of "He asked for it" and an unrealistic escalation of events to where it literally becomes a punish the victim story line with a slap in the face of gay men for good measure. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member But i have looked at how Felicity Huffman play all these roles no wonder she was good at it if she was already doing fraud! I hope they do a season on how only certain children are able to go to collage because of who their parents and that there is children that done even have the chance that have to sale their soul to be able to have a good future and some even have to work at jobs they do not want to be able to attend Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Everything about this.....is brilliant..... Looking forward to season 3 Which started last night on showcase. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Very good TV Shows Suspense, acting, directing, writing and montage are excellente, LGBTQ and people are honored Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Wasn't sure if this was one of the higher 3.5* or lower 4* Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member After seeing Season 2, I am reminded that TV programming can, in the right hands, be relevant, brilliant and ground-breaking.
